For the record I used to have a set of AKG K240's.
REALLY bad treble response. Just saying there.

Crud, do you record at all, or are you just an audiophile?

o.o Nice cans, nice console, nice pic of Misha :)

What's your preferred recording software, if you don't mind me asking? Not having the hardware (and working in Reason) I'm quite partial to Nuendo as it supports ReWire. I haven't had the chance to record "real instruments" in over a decade though, just (to many people's ears) absolutely horrible Dark Ambient and (equally abysmal) drum and bass. My days of playing punk/thrash/black metal are long gone, sadly, although they are still among my top choices of music to listen to.

I use Cubase 4 but I haevn't bothered to upgrade to 5 as I haven't done anything serious in.... well, less than a decade but greater than a year.

I used to have a lot more stuff but when I realised it was doing nothing but gathering dust and losing values I flogged most of it last year.

Also a little more news now that I've had the Edition 8's on for a bit.

For a closed-back headphone tehy hold their own against the Grados. I am more familiar with the Grados, and the extra ventilation feels a little nicer. They are also a little lighter.

At the workshop I thought that the Edition8's bass was better than the GS1000, which it is, but I don't think it's by much.

I honestly think anyone would be happy with either.

Hrm since you're going to ride me forever I suppose I should give you an answer.

Shizune's a hard pick, and not only due to the obvious.
She needs soemthing that won't affect her glasses but will still put the others to shame.

Oh wait I know...

Moslty because they are something I desire but will probably never have, like Shizune's hearing.

Bless you!

Very good pick tbh!

Among the headphones posted here, I like these the most.

They look ergonomic =o

Simple and effective.

Heh, I don't need headphones. I have a speaker system that you can hear out in the driveway, hooked up to my computer. :D

That doesn't preclude you from needing headphones.

I'm currently surrounded by three sets of speakers for various purposes....

Actually I'm a bad example. I'm not sure what "normal" people do when it comes to listening to things.

I'd call myself normal. I guess? When it comes to these sorts of things anyway.

I usually plug my iPod/DSi into my Bose In-Ear. I reserve my Senn's for long journeys or for really noisy situations.

At home? I plug my laptop into my guitar amp. Only 15 Watts, because the only other thing I ahve is almost 150 Watts. So yeah.
But I mean, at home, most people don't use headphones, I can understand that much.

I use a Logitech Clearchat Pro USB Headset. $40 I think it was. I use it to, listen to music, but mostly to chat in games (By games, I mean only TF2). The microphone is pretty good, compared to the crap that I hear from other players. The music pretty good too. Here's what it looks like.
