The wikipedia page on Visual Novels is the ONLY page I actually have major problems with after all these years of using the awesome encyclopedia service. I'm not dissing wiki, but more of the fact that what the general public's idea of what VNs actually are is twisted by Wiki and other such "definitive media".

Psh. Weakling.
In all seriousness though, there are some great communities on 4chan.

4chan isn't for everyone, but if you can phase out the trolls and porn, it's one of the best places to get news and have fun and random discussion... and fan art.

On the topic of 4chan and Reddit, why are people from both sides beefing and fighting? I personallity don't understand nor I wanna pick sides because I got more important things to worry about than a group of folks fighting over stolen jokes, memes, etc.
Let me say this before I gotta head to work: 4chan is a wonderful place if you can ignore the trolls, Old Fags Vs. New Fags fights, and porn. It's one of the best online communities I've been to and I've enjoyed going there often.

Personally, I just don't like Reddit. They call themselves the "front page of the internet", and since the popular threads are at the top instead of the newest threads, it's harder to find what you want. Furthermore, the community there is like the aggravating Facebook and Youtube community.
The subreddit of Katawa Shoujo isn't a half-bad place though *grumble*

/tg/ is pretty good, and the new /vg/ is turning out pretty decent too.
Wondering when the /vg/-tan will be created: I'm imagining /v/'s laid back big brother/sister, who happens to be a friend of /tg/.

Considering that /vg/ is also made up from people who were hated in /jp/ for liking translated visual novels and not being able to read Japanese, I was thinking surprising cultured bastard child of /v/ and /jp/.

As another has pointed out, this is very true. I've lurked quite a bit in the past, but never posted until now. No particular reason for it, the mood just struck me today. Anyway, I prefer these forums to /v/. *shrugs* Nothing against /v/, but meh.. this area just seems better suited for my tastes. Only an opinion, of course.
That's definitely true (except for the reddit part. I can't bear that website.). That being said, 4chan is just more fun.
The new board was up ... in only a day?!
/vg/ videogame generals is insanely vague, but whatever.
You may be surprised. Give the KS subreddit a chance, it's a great place.[/quote]
Indeed it is. The community there is kind, fosters good discussions, and is very careful about marking spoilers. Much of reddit can be quite crap, but r/KatawaShoujo is very nice.
