little bit different take on this idea because I watch a lot of tv and I love DIY network. I was watching the show "renovation realities" and realized the music behind the noise and chatting really reminds me of some of the music from KS. Heh I also saw a commercial for mesothelioma that had a rather sad piano track in the background that made me think of Hanako.
not a great example from DIY but you can kinda get the idea.
Lately, it happened often when listening to a song that it makes me think of Katawa Shoujo. For example, this morning I was listening to On Va S'aimer Encore (We Will Still Love Each Other), and I thought that could be something Hisao would sing to any of the girl, especially Emi. It happened with a few other songs but I don't remember which. I will put more songs when I remember or if it happens again.
My native language is french, so most of the songs I will put here will be french. It's because I heard them on the radio ; the english song I listen to, I choose them, and I choose my songs for the music, not the lyrics. Anyway, if you want a traduction for the lyrics of the song up here or any other, it shall be my pleasure to translate them. I shouldn't have trouble translating them in something pleasant to read ; I am a writer after all.

I just remembered another couple of songs :
Dis-Moi Pas Ça (Don't Tell Me That) by Oukoumé. That should be the exact thing Hisao should sing to Lilly to prevent her from going to Scotland forever... or to bring him with her.
Europe, again by Oukoumé. That song is french too. That would be what Hisao would sing AFTER Lilly left for Scotland.

Kickstart My Heart - Motley Crue
A song about one of their band-mates thought to be dead after having a heart attack, but on the way to the hospital his heart jumped back into gear and started working again.
And now he's continuing life on the fast lane.
Reminds me of hisao's situation

Ayu - Rainbow, especially the first half. That song is so beautiful, and the piano reminds me the music in KS pretty much.

Teardrop by Massive Attack. It just really gives off that KS vibe with the heartbeat and all. Very good song.

Ah yes. One of my all time favs. It kinda reminds me of Rin for some reason.
Actually I think there's symbolic references to just about all the main characters in there.. Lyrically at least.

Big & Rich, "Holy Water." I mentioned this in another thread as a song that makes me cry, but I also can see it as a song symbolizing how others tend to look at Hanako, particularly in the verses:
