If you forget the jacket then that pretty much describes this dude right here.

It also describes Akio Mutou. Just saying. Except for the aviator jacket, but I am positively certain that he has one.

Ponytail? Nah. Magnificent drill-stache.

SEXY MALE MISHA wrote:undercover wrote:Eeh, no. I'm a straight female and I still wouldn't play that. I don't like bishounen genres at all. They get really cliche, really fast (in my experience.) But I'm always willing to be proven wrong.
WAHAHA, DON'T ACT LIKE YOU CAN RESIST MY CHARMS~
OH SWEET JESUS, WHOEVER DREW THIS I LOVE YOU.
For the record, I always pictured Male Misha as having pink dreadlocks, but an afro is even better. XD

I saw an interesting comment on [shimmie=217]this Shimmie picture[/shimmie] about what male!Hanako would be like... "...a male Hanako would, instead of withdrawing from the world, would most likely fly into a rage at the drop of a hat. Male Lilly would be there to calm his rage, much like how female Lilly comforts female Hanako." I thought it made a lot of sense, since that sort of extreme shyness is less socially acceptable in guys. For instance, in that scene where Hanako is walking down the hall with Hisao, some people pass them, and Hanako hides behind him, male!Hanako would do something like glare at them and snap "What're you looking at?!" angrily. I think it's somewhat more realistic than him being an "uke" type, though the "lone wolf" type does have merit.

Also, would anyone be interested in a complete Katawa Shonen rewrite in the style of The Genderbending of Haruhi Suzumiya? This is of course assuming that the devs have no objections, and it probably would be more of a choose-your-own adventure than a visual novel, but I think it would be an interesting project.

For some reason, the depiction of a male version of Hanako in this thread reminds me of Zuko from Avatar: the Last Airbender. Both in terms of attitude and in terms of burnination.

Hanako becomes Hanataro. Screams "bottom" with every fiber of his being. Alternately, he could end up being more of a brooding loner, since Hanako's shyness would be less tolerated in a male.
Two things I have to say, and both of them revolve around the word "bottom" which caught my eye because of the quotation marks.
Firstly, I got the image that they were a fit for the finished British sitcom Bottom. Which wouldn't work at all...
These people are far beyond the bottom.
Secondly... I'm ashamed to say... "Gay." God damn, that's so ridiculously juvenile that I hate myself.
Other than that, I'd love to see something like this. Alternate character interpretations are awesome when done right. Gender bending can be awesome when done right. Does that make this double awesome or awesomeness squared?

I had kind of imagined male Hanako as being fairly effeminate and girly. Still, very impressive. Now I want to start drawing this. If only finals weren't coming up....

OH DEAR GOD!
While male Misha reminds of that Afro-Guy from Onani Master Kurosawa, Male Hanako reminds me of Chinman.

Uh...male Hanako looks like a lot of male shoujo characters. I don't think Chinman is what the artist was going for. There is a very vague resemblance though, i guess....
