I liked the idea of a cover that uses the original design of the website and the forum, so I tried it too. There's lots of Shimmie-fanart in this, but I didn't draw any of those pictures.

yeah, i like this one better, except for the panties on the top of the back.
though like i said before, this is so small that you don't need a dvd-rom. a cd-rom would have plenty of room.

My personal preference is still the original canvas textured one with the artwork from RAITA. It is appealing to look at and still relatively clean of all the faux commercial marketing flags. My opinion is that since this is a VN made without commercial intent; any sort of case or cover should also be fan oriented and screw the phony commercial crud that government regulations inflict on our eyes.
But since I also have the artistic ability of your average cinder block you guys with more ability than me just keep on doing your thing.

Blast! except for the panties on the back part of the case, that is almost like the redesigned case i was working on.
Aw well i'll still post it regardless....when it's done.

Since nobody likes the panties, I'll try to explain why I used that picture, apart from the fact that it's nice fanart. I thought that if somebody was to see the game in a shop (hypothetical situation), he should be aware that the game has sex scenes. I know that there is more to the game than those scenes, but I think that a lot of people divide fiction into two categories: Things that are porn and things that aren't. In other words: If there are explicit sex scenes, it is porn. Of course, this perception is a little narrow-minded, but the picture was supposed to make it clear that there will be sex scenes, just to make sure that nobody will be surprised by them.

You can still put the disk into the DVD-case, even it it's just a CD. (inb4 what has science done!?)
But I admit that the DVD-logo would be a little misleading.
Also, it's dangerous to go alone! Take this:

I agree, me want badly!
Maybe half those expansions might appear; especially the beach scenes. This is going to take place over a larger time frame after all.

Hey I never said i hated them, but i never said i liked them either. Honestly i don't find anything wrong with them, its just that they don't seem to really fit with the rest of the cover. But that's just my opinion.

Yeah, the cover turned out very well. the pink goes well with the main theme of the misha expansion pack, and overall it doesn't seem to busy or empty.

Well I guess if your intention is to make a "this is what a cover would look like if you would find it in stores" thing, it's okay. If the intention is just to to make a good cover, the general mass of logos just reeks of desperation of the "KS IS TOO A REAL GAME, YOU SEE, THERE'S BARCODES AND EVERYTHING" kind. If I'd make a cover, I'd leave all of that out because I'd hope it does not need that kind of faux credibility at all, and logos and branding all over the place are not in any other way necessary.
