Oh yeah, believe me I've got pencil sets covering most ranges. I think I like 4 and 6B. Their darks are darkelicious. But in all honesty it's the mark of talent when any utensil is usable. I shouldn't close my mind to any one tool.
Regarding bamboo: I'm thrilled to learn you can do well with a small work area. I always feared if I bought too small I'd have wasted my time and money, but the larger you go, the deeper the wallet hole.
