First-person Rin is hard to do convincingly while retaining enough coherence. She'd need an editor.

Yes, that's the point. But with text, the editor is needed so that the reader can figure out what's going on.
As dewelar also found out, when writing Rin fanfics, it's extremely difficult to be able to do it from Rin's POV.
