Everyone I've told looked at me like I have three heads, so I stopped telling people.

I guess it really depends on who you tell it to.

I would have asked them if they liked the Walking Dead Game.
Because it's basically a visual novel. Only fully animated.

Well yes, but you can't call it a visual novel because of the lack of novel-ness, that's why it's referred to as an adventure game.
And sure, in this case they are still very similar, in people's minds a visual novel and an adventure game are seen as to very different things.

Also KS isn't based on a popular IP, and it doesn't have zombies. Thank god for that...
