There was just one door, and all I had to do was make sure the mechanism in the knob was set to automatically lock. Which it always was.

The real problem was making sure I remembered my keys so I didn't lock myself out, which is the sort of thing you only do once, then make sure you never do again.

I know you didn't ask me, but my friends live in downtown Columbus, OH and all of their doors (to the outside at least) require a key to lock or unlock, even from the inside.

In Central Europe (Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, etc.), doors like that are basically unheard of.

So~ what are the votes that we turn this thread into a door fanfic instead of a Misha fanfic? I mean, I love Misha and all, but those doors, man. I have never seen a doorknob so..... sexy~ before. ^-^

Weird. I can't remember the last time I saw a door like that.

Well in their case, it's probably for security reasons, since they live downtown and all. In most suburbs or in the country it would be entirely unnecessary.
