She actually has the same kind of appearance as some of the real-life mid-40s Japanese ladies I've met who have kids — some of whom I've taught.

Actually, there are three routes, all of which I've observed personally.
1) The Bad Ending (depicted in that graphic) — some Asians balloon after a certain age, then deflate, true; diet, healthcare etc.
2) The Neutral Ending — normal ageing, they go grey, a bit stockier, then gracefully wither.
3) The Good Ending — 50-65 is a smooth transition, the hair is greying but everything's more or less the same. 65-80 is smooth, they hit 80-85 with pure white hair and still look distinguished, and you can see glimpses of what they were like at 25. 80+ is stately but clearly old.
