Thanks so much, man. Now I gotta drown it with the moeblob called Morita Mayu! And maybe some Haibane-Renmei (the first parts of the series in any case).

Looked through my record collection over the week and found this. Never knew I even had this. I picked it up randomly a few years back, never listened to it. This is a killer story right here.

For me, i can recall 3 things that gave me intense feels, of the top of my head
1.Red Dead Redemption
2. Batman :TAS (Perchance to Dream, the Clayface episode etc)
3. Samurai Champloo, which ended on such an awesome note that i was kinda sad i wouldn't see it again.

Short moment of 'feels' suddenly cut by a moment of comedy.
this doujin called The Distance Between Us, it has a sweet story about a high-school couple that are trying to have some alone time but people keep messing it up so they go to a shrine and pray to the gods for some alone time and they get alone time when time starts freezing whenever they're together and thats all I'll go into without spoiling the rest of it

"Forest Grump" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". The latter almost made me cried in the theater when I saw it.

No other media has given me 'the feels' as effectively as KS, but there are a few pieces of music that inspire such amazing feelings, Pathetique and Canon in D (linked earlier) among them.
Dream Theater - Wither, Hollow Years, The Spirit Carries On, Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence... (my favourite band, so I could go on and on )
Extreme - More Than Words
Jeremy Soule - Mhenlo's Theme (GuildWars)
Joe Hisaishi - One Summer's Day, Ashitaka and San. I played the latter at my grandmother's funeral, so this one will always remain close to heart.
Les Miserables - pretty much the entire musical. Scratch my earlier statement, Les Mis gave me the feels, alright.
Metallica - The Unforgiven
Muse - Invincible. I have a love-hate relationship with this song . Also Falling Away With You and Unintended, both of which remind me strongly of my first girlfriend.
Niki and the Dove - DJ Ease My Mind
Queen - Tenement Funster/Flick of the Wrist/Lily of the Valley
Queensryche - Unafraid, Home Again, Silent Lucidity, the whole of 'Operation: Mindcrime'
Rush - Tears, Closer to the Heart, The Trees
Simon and Garfunkel - He Was My Brother, Sparrow, The Boxer
The Who - The whole of 'Tommy'
Roger Waters - Perfect Sense
...Alright, that's a huge list there. Sorry I got bored linking so early xD

The Angel Sanctuary manga is completely packed with feels, beginning to end. T-T

There's only two things that gave me more feels than KS.
I'm supposing everyone knows about Eureka Seven? Overall it's not a very feely show, pretty dramatic. But there is one part that hits me harder than ANYTHING I've ever listened, read, etc. Ever.
This takes the cake in terms of feels I have felt. Every single time I hear that sentence, I burst into tears no matter what I'm doing
Also, just below that is a little known anime called Blassreiter. Manly Tears were shed and feels were felt....thoughout the ENTIRE anime. I find the story beautifully written, other than the fact that only two of the massive cast of main characters throughout all the arcs actually survives to the end.

Burgundy wrote:Both Clannad and Kanon, two of Kyoto Animation's seminal works and produced by Key of Haruhi Suzumiya fame, drove me to tears at several points throughout the series. They go above and beyond the normal emotional levels of that kind of series, and the characters are so well-played that you can't help but empathise
I'm not sure if this was mentioned before but they were based on VN's.

They are.
You try the VNs, rivers flow.
After that, try 'Tomoyo After'. That river is now a lake
