A text board archiver wouldn't be hard to make - even just the OP saving the HTML and hosting it somewhere or copy-pasting the text to a forum thread or pastebin would work. But if the revenge-mod has access to delete things on the text boards, that wouldn't work for us because the threads would suddenly be killed.

In the mean time until moot agrees, I would suggest running the CYOA on a different chan, like iichan or something, and then post on /jp/ or /a/ to say "hey guys we're running a choose your own adventure on <link to thread on other chan> right now" and then just let the 4chan thread run its course or die naturally while the adventuring takes place on the other chan.

Running it in a forum doesn't have the same appeal, since one of the good things about these threads are their short-lived nature.

well running it on a different chan while linking it to /a/ would be nice, and would get all of our regulars back, there's still no archiver.

then again, niggawatts suggested http://freechan.org/rp/ where he is a mod, and said that nothing would happen to the threads there. and it seems to move very slowly(there's still only one page), so archiving may not be necessary. though there we would have to contain it to one thread instead of spanning multiple threads

I'm seriously starting to miss these threads. For whatever its worth, thanks for all the threads if you guys have done till now.

I was kinda debating on saying the hell with all of 4chan's fagory and do a thread sometime this week. But then i realized that its spring break this week and next for some people still going to school. So i may hold off doing one, if i do one at all.

I'm going to break the trend. I'm starting to dislike the severe lack of threads, butthurt fags just need to get over us already and live with it. What board should I do it on, and how does the archiving system work for said board?

/a/ has been the traditional choice, and with that choice it'll auto-archive for you on easymodo. You just gotta find it there, which shouldn't be too hard if you look soon after you create it. Best of luck.

Like you can say anything is consistent with 4chan. So what does a Troll want? A well populated active thread to be a troll in? Hard to be a Troll all by your lonesome, I'd guess. What does a butthurt fag want? Every active, lively thread to be 404'ed and force people back to their thread by default? Damn if I know. I do think that 4chan is hypocritical about being a "collaborative community". They ought to just strike those words off their homepage and replace it with something about only allowing regurgitation of visual mass media products. I suspect if KS had "Type Moon" on it instead of 4LS, in some 4channers minds it would gain "legitimacy"; because it can't be "legit" unless it has a price tag attached.
Whatever, finding another venue to run writefag threads in is probably the best option at this point. Now if you started a thread using a KS inspired graphic (derivative graphics are clearly 4chans core subject) and started a thread discussing and requesting feedback on the graphic which was to be the core of the writefag thread which would be conducted someplace other than 4chan. This might be enough to muzzle the butthurt whiners and allow folks who wish to participate and collaborate to open up another window on their monitor and follow a writefag thread elsewhere. I'd call it 4chans loss of a fun and enjoyable activity but other than as a tool to be used I have next to no concern for 4chan anyway.

Hmm... you ever tried /c/? I live there practically and never got trolled or 404'ed apart from all other places. Well /w/ too, but It would be dumb to do a thread at /w/...
/c/ has only images not discuss threads, as I seen but dunno what would happen if you'd take a move there.

They aren't trolls, you idiots, they're "Internet Superheros" who dislike KS and/or the KS threads. It's pretty sad to go into a KS thread and see one guy post "GETOUTKSDEVS" and then 50 fucking posts of people saying "LOL TROL HARDER" and "UMAD" image macros. I swear to god, you guys are so easy to troll they don't even have to BE trolls.

From what I've seen, the new mod doesn't mind KS. (Got warned for a NSFW picture of Hanako, so it was a mod, finally.)

He actually went through and deleted all the shit and people complaining about it in a recent thread.

That said, I don't know how well a writefag thread would go, but at least we can still discuss it there in relative peace.
