yamaku does accept mentally disabled/ill students but only those that fit enough criteria that they need Reasonable Accommodations (which is how Hanako got in, as she's technically not disabled but has a mental illness and trauma that requires accommodation), and only those who have like, low enough support needs that they won't need like, around-the-clock care

I'd imagine there's a lot more people that just Hanako at Yamaku suffering from some kind of trauma.
