I'm only keeping the picture, because it's Hanako cosplaying my favorite character of all time.

The concept is truly marvelous. I wonder if Hanako too slips into her Wonderland when things get too harsh...

It's funny because I just bought a 4 book set of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There.
Complete with pictures and nice non-sense text formatting. A box for storage.

I personally prefer McGee's Alice over Corrall's Alice or Disney's Alice.

In fact, there's some pictures of Disney's and McGee's Alices put together (none of them shipping artworks) (I can send you some of these pictures over PM if you want).

On topic about Katawa Shoujo. It's possible for Hanako to have a vast mental realm, as she's suffered something similar to McGee's Alice. Family lost to a fire. Granted, Hanako was directly underneath her mother during the fire, and was technically trapped in the fire, while Alice was able to escape via window in her room, but was still drastically traumatized from her family's death, whereas Hanako was more traumatized by being bullied. Probably, because Alice wasn't mentally normally/stable even before the fire.
Though, Hanako doesn't seem to have moments of mania like Alice does. So, it's possible that Hanako's mental realm isn't nearly as large as Alice's or her trauma wasn't as drastic as Alice's. Which wouldn't make a whole lot of sense, being that Hanako watched, heard, and smelled her mother die next to her. Alice... probably only heard.

ANYWAYS...

I think that says something about Hanako's mental constitution, that having her mother burn alive while holding her, wasn't what broke her.

Good point, although it could be argued that her ability to function actually is quite impaired by her anxiety.

I should say that she doesn't show signs of significant damage from seeing that, her damage is from how she was treated by her friends and society afterwards.

This didnt happen in shizunes route and that makes me sad.
Although why Hisao is suddenly blonde i dont know.

Could've been done like something out of Kore Wa Zombie Desu ka (Is this a Zombie?) with a school festival with strange dress protocol (in the anime it's genderswapped halloween), but then Hisao would have to be in a leather jacket and/or a bunny suit, depending on how true to that analogy you wanted to be. That said, Shizune would've gotten out of it unless Misha said she'd have the best costume.

She has problems, but she is not mad like Mac'Agee's Alice.

The inner character's shirt is open, and if it was Akira there'd be bewbs. That aside, if it was Akira, than either she's the Playboy or she'd be BunKira, which'd be just too awesome for the same picture as BuMisha.

She is Lilly's sister so I'd assume so unless she had a freak encounter with Kellogg's ghost.

Also... I'm kind of afraid to say that of the main girls, Lilly is the one who attracts me the least.

Zarys, if you play Shizune, Lilly, or Hanako route you'll notice Akira is referred to in the feminine through out the entirety of the game. Furthermore, in Lilly's act 4 context, she reveals she broke up with her boyfriend the day before since she had to leave for Scotland with Lilly, and not to start the homosexuality discussion again, but it is fairly indicative of her gender.
