My personal head cannon is that violet from the incredibles and hanako are in some way either by being soul mates or sisters. I mean apart from the obvious like similar looks ( long dark hair, both delicate and visibly fragile) and ways they both avoid social interaction, the fact that it would just make sense really I treats me.

My theory is that they are sisters, hence the similar features and social styles. However we know ha all is like this because of the fire, so what if the reason violet in the incredibles doesn't believe in her own power at the start of the film is because when she was younger she failed to save her parents or her sister (hanako) from the fire... The parents save violet with no long lasting burns but have to sacrifice themselves to let hanako survive. Of course the girl with no scars would have no trouble finding a home with superpowers but poor little hanako never sees her sister or parents again.

Theory no.2 is they used to be childhood friends and the same thing happens but this time violet only sees the blaze start out and instead of trying to help runs away in fear. Hanako never forgets her first friend and has trouble letting anyone else get close to her because of how they treat her ( white knight bullshit) so one day they will reunite and they will both be able to move on with there lives yaada yaadda

Or no.3 it's just a coincidence and they are perfect for each other and I ship it like FedEx.

You're dead to me. :|

@Random: I would think Hanako would mention if she knew superpowers existed...If only to mess with Kenji.

Here's a Misha Theory:

Premises (I forget whether these are fanon or canon):
1. Misha was bullied prior coming to Yamaku, or at least had an unpleasant life.
2. Misha gets dizzy at times, particularly on stairs.
3. Misha plans to go to college in America.

Theory 1 - How Misha got to Yamaku:
1. Misha suffers from a simple form of chronic vertigo (Meniere's disease, perhaps?) that could not be called a "disability" per se.
2. However, the vertigo she suffers from would be treated by a otolaryngologist, the same type of specialist that treats hearing loss.
3. It is at this specialist's office that she comes across information about Yamaku, it's JSL instruction/instructor programs, and scholarships.
4. The rest is VN history...

Theory 2 - The possible endings to a hypothetical Misha route (that, like Shizune's, continues to graduation):
1. Bad Ending - Things fall apart after her history with Shizune is revealed.
2. Neutral [True?] Ending - A bittersweet parting (with promises of a long distance relationship), as Misha leaves to study Sign Language Instruction in America, and Hisao stays in Japan to study Science Education.
3. Good Ending - Misha and Hisao find a university (probably in Japan) where the can attend together -- rainbows and parfaits for everybody!

Emi is a One Piece fan (for obvious reasons). Rin is a Psycho Pass fan (because of the philosophy).

She probably also has a soft spot for the main theme too.

Everyone should be a fan of Psycho Pass.

I could see Kenji thinking that Parasyte is based on a true story and the 'feminists' are hungry aliens - with Yuuko as their deceptively nervous leader.

... I can definitely see that. I think Kenji would have interest in the works of Satoshi Kon, especially Paprika, the dream device is obviously a feminist conspiracy.

As a child, Lilly was constantly made to wear her hair short. Akira's insistence.

That's interesting. In my own headcanon, Lilly wore her hair short and Akira grew hers long. Then when their favourite aunt got divorced, Akira cut her hair short and Lilly let hers grow out.

Since I have a slight interest in history, as well as being partly descended from a Scottish clan myself (a MacDonald on my great-grandmother's side, likely a descendant of an emigrated family from the MacDonells of Glengarry or MacDonald of Keppoch), my personal headcanon regarding Lilly's part-Scot heritage is that she's a descendant of either Clan Mackintosh or Clan Fraser of Lovat; both have a presence in Inverness and the wider Inverness-shire.

It is, however .... you know, headcanon, so I could be wrong.

In Testament, which is set in the 'After The Dream' universe, I made Lilly's mother the Mistress of Nairn. IRL, there is a Barony of Nairne and a female heir presumptive has that title (with an 'e' at the end).

He, of course, got the Pickup Legend achievement on his first playthrough.
