It was deconstructed well enough in Hanako's route (and Emi's to a lesser extent)
I disagree- that was the main focus of Emi's route and I think that it focused more on it than Hanako's route did. Now did Hanako's route involve that theme? Well, yes, just not to the extent Emi's route did.

How so?

Well I feel that Hanako's route of more about treating someone as a person because they're a person, not because you think they are some fragile object, while Emi's route is saying that you must acknowledge that someone could use some help, but they can still get by without it.
The primary difference between the two is that Emi's route is telling us not to treat people like they're a damsel in distress, while Hanako's route is telling us to dehumanize people.

That, and Emi's route actually contains the words "White Knight", and TheHiveMind made a point of getting "White Knighting is bad" across.

You support wandering aimlessly as a mercenary, with no land to call your own or master to be beholden to?

Actually, that sounds pretty awesome. Sign me up!

OT, when you can point out exactly witch part of each route where Hisao done effed up. Reliability is one of his more flattering traits.

I never said she wouldn't have been just as well off if not more so if she accepts Hisao's route. :P

Reminds me of when you posted that link to "The Last Question" on the Zombies thread. Thanks for posting it btw, that was a great story. :D

OT: You've been playing too much KS if you found those interviews on your own in the first place.

That's definitely a good read, but surely most people who say they're looking for one of the girls IRL aren't actually looking for a girl with that specific disability. Sure, the disability can change how one deals with life and events that happen to them, but there are people out there who have similar mindsets. Maybe different pasts, different hobbies, and different ways of dealing with life, but they still have the same personality.

I just hope no one is actually looking for a short, legless girl in twintails who happens to be a track team star.

Exactly. In fact, the lesson this game teaches us - which I have adopted at an early age anyway - is that we shouldn't give a shit about anyone's disabilities, and when we find ourselves affected by them - e.g., disgusted, scared, intrigued, or even turned on, whatever - we should learn to ignore that and look beyond them, and see the person behind the disability.

Taking this in mind, I say I'd love to find my Lilly not because I want to score a blind chick, but exactly because I want everything she is BEYOND that. I couldn't care less if my dream girl missed a hand or leg, or her vision, or rocks a wheelchair - If she is calm and collected, has class and is as motherly sweet as Lilly happens to be, I am certain that if I don't watch out, I'll fall for her the second I lay my eyes on her.

THAT is what the concept of Lilly's character means to me, and that's what I mean with 'finding my Lilly'.

I'm almost insulted that you assumed I was in any way superficial, but then again, how could you know I wasn't, right?

Bam. My short philosophy regarding KS's main theme ^^.
