Personally, if it were a choice between Jigoro and natives, I'd take my chances with the natives. (Of course, if there were natives, it wouldn't be a deserted island, would it?)

This is where wishful thinking and practicality end up overturning each other on a cost-benefit analysis chart.

Now I have this mental image of her signing, like, "Bitch, get yer ass over here." and then grabbing the person, forcibly turning their head and being all, "Yo, listen to that shit, what's it soundin' like?".

I chose Rin. She would be a person to have endless conversations with, and stuff. I mean, I could probably survive on an island alone, but I would die of loss of socially being with humans. Plus, Rin is my favorite character, so meh.

P.S.

That might have bad grammar cuz I typed that really quickly.

Y'know, you've got a point. With the right mindset, conversations with Rin would be endlessly diverting.
Something just occurred to me. Can we choose non-canon joke characters? Cause Hachisame could be really useful, if only for procuring seafood.

Reminds me of something striking I heard Les Stroud say in one of his shows.

A person can live for:
  • Three minutes without air
  • Three hours without shelter
  • Three days without water
  • Three weeks without food
  • Three months without love

How did they test that one?

Isolation tests have actually been pretty common.

Im presuming by "love" he means human contact further than extremely basic communication.

It must not mean "making love" or millions of married men around the world would be dead and I'd only have a few days to live

While I'm not as bad off as, say, Hanako before she met Lilly... I should have died years ago if that was true.

Okay, so they're counting family love then. Now I want to see this replicated in Russia, see if it makes a difference.

Can I get Kim Jong Un with me? I just wanna while away the days doing and saying offensive shit to him and watching him suffer a mental breakdown as he realizes there are no bombs on the island so he can't even pretend to be a threat.

Actually, Yuuko wouldn't be bad company. After the initial panic, she'd probably be great for conversation.

Pretty much. Without other people around, apparently you go through a crisis about three months in where you may lose hope, stop caring, and just lay down and die.

Now, side question: which characters would like being on the island the most and the least?

I think Rin would thrive with that sort of solitude and nature around her. Emi would be okay running around, and Shizune would like the survival aspect. Lilly would probably be really scared in such an alien place with no real guidance, Hanako would most likely dislike it, and I can't imagine Misha liking it much more.

This whole thread… well, it depends on which island got deserted. See, no man is an island. That means 'deserted island' is code for 'formerly attached woman'. And 'stranded on' must mean 'now attached to'.

Which means this question is all about who's your waifu, basically. :D
