In order of played:

Emi:
[First]: cute and interesting
[Final]: I don't want this to end. Loved her very much

Shizune:
[First]: one of my first interests. my first g/f is also deaf and I know sign language.
[Final]: I enjoyed my time with her

Rin:
[First]: not really interested and don't want to do her path
[Final]: didn't like her at all and days after finishing her path, I can still feel stress from going through it. (I was trying to do Hanako's path, but ended up with hers)

Hanako:
[First]: seems like someone I can relate to since it seems we are a little similar
[Final]: loved her and I could relate to what she is going through. I always had severe acne so I was always trying to hide from everyone and my life was too similar (cutting class early or not going at all, never talked to anyone except for 1 person, except for a girl in my last year)

Lilly:
[First]: she is very likable, but probably not my type

Yuuko:
[First]: pretty cute
[Final]: very likable and I wish I could have a path with her

Miki:
[First]: OMG i wish I couldd get to know her more!

You kinda can, if you know what I mean...

Also, interesting that you had a GF that was deaf. I know no one that's deaf or mute. I know one guy that's blind, though.

I meant to mention something earlier today but by the time I was done doing research I was so exhausted I went to bed. First of all welcome to the forum.

Emi- I thought she was really cute, I'm a sucker for puppy dog eyes.
After- I loved her exchanges with Hisao. I love having someone I can verbally joust with.

Shizune- I liked her right from the start. I never saw her as overbearing, but rather someone willing to go out of her way to help cheer up Hisao and help him get used to Yamaku.
After- I liked her even more, definitely felt she was very underrated. I love her playful nature and she's very sweet deep down.

Misha- Adorable and probably one of the most huggable characters.
After- Why the fuck is there no route for her? I'd sell my soul to Satan himself to give her a hug.

Rin- Interesting character, I liked her general outlook.
After- About the same, while I liked her a lot her route didn't resonate with me too much so she's probably my least favorite if I had to pick one.

Hanako- The one I was trying to get on my first run before Emi almost killed Hisao on the track. I wanted to know much more about her.
After- Somehow she was even more adorable than I originally thought. I mean those casual clothes, need I say more? When I first played I would've picked her as my favorite, not really sure now it's been so long.

Lilly- Elegant, beautiful, smart, supportive, and kind. A lot of things I looked for in women.
After- Even more depth to her prim and proper appearance that made her that much more likable. Interestingly enough in hindsight I think I like Akira more, but I guess I can't know for sure unless I ever get around to reading Thanatos' pseudo-Akira route. Maybe someday.

Hanako first: I know how she feels!
Hanako final: We are kindred spirits, fused within our souls!

Lilly first: Oh my, she's angelic.
Lilly final: Possibly the most well-adjusted person in the game (though not perfect of course). I could see marrying someone like this.

Shizune first: Cute. A little too tsundere, but whatever.
Shizune final: Not the bitch she comes off as. We cool.

Misha first: Too loud and too cheerful. Don't know about this one…
Misha final: Oh you poor thing. Come here, I wanna hug you forever.

Rin first: Space case. Mostly emotionless. Not very feminine either.
Rin final: She tries, dammit!

Emi first: Aw, pet da cute widdle puppy!
Emi final: What a harrowing existence. Fun chick, though!

Haha, I don't blame you here, I love Lilly...'s route (I refuse to acknowledge attachment to a drawn character, although I probably am. A lot), but as it went on Akira stood out more and more for me. I guess it had something to do with how could someone with the same background turn out so different? Plus, I'm a sucker for a girl in a suit.

Actually, just occurred to me, in line with the thread: My opinion of Akira before was that she was a bit yuppie-like: y'know, arrogant, with little time for anything bar their own lives. At the end though, I felt that she was a fantastic character, and if I was to have an older sibling I'd like them to be similar in personality to her.
