i am quite certain thats what most people have happen to them.
in my case, it was a long picture of each character and at the bottom it said: FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELS

I found this VN by accident. I rarely played VNs because many of them didn't really interest me. Many VNs are just harems or just all about the H-Scenes. I wanted a VN that had meaning or was real interesting, like Clannad, Kanon, Steins;Gate, or something like that. Then I came upon KS, and now I'm here.

Well, not exactly. I expected to fap at the h-scenes at least.
But many of them are unfappable due to context or awkwardness.

It is funny, and I'm glad "Katawa Shoujo" goes against people's expectations - in a very good way. I found it while searching the web for weird video games (hoping to find something funny), and I figured that its primary purpose would be to provide numerous gratuitous panty flashes and tasteless cartoon sex scenes for the fapping pleasure of young men everywhere. ("Fap" sure is a great word - I'll have to use it in my writing some day.) I love how this visual novel messes with the conventions of sex scenes in the genre, making some of them (
i.e. Emi's anal scene) awkward, taking the sex appeal right out of them, and making them relevant to the story.
It is rare indeed that I find something good and meaningful when I start out with the mere goal of looking for a laugh.

I've heard about this game from FunnyJunk. I was promised feels. I've got more than enough feels. Even some of the H-scenes brought feels.
