Re: Which ending is most likely for you?
Whowever I decided to pursue, it would have ended the same way - on the roof with Kenji.
Re: Which ending is most likely for you?
Well, I'm the type of guy who wants to decipher and understand things. I think in a logical manner. However, I wouldn't try to force my way into understanding things. I believe anyone could have figured out the "just go with it" thing. Eventually at least. If you don't, you must be a really stubborn person.Xanatos wrote:Not so. Understanding Rin requires patience. Deciphering Rin requires patience.TheCreate wrote:As you said, being around Rin requires a LOT of patience...
To quote something my father told me while watching an improv comedy show (Whose Line Is It Anyway?, the current series), "The key [to improv] is to always say 'yes'. Never reject or question what happens, just go with it."

Totally unrelated but your signature gives me a great Rule 34 idea...ZXNova wrote:Well, I'm the type of guy who wants to decipher and understand things. I think in a logical manner. Re: Which ending is most likely for you?
Really? Oh god. You better give me credit for your idea.
Re: Which ending is most likely for you?
The manly picnic of course. Except I would push Kenji off the roof.
Re: Which ending is most likely for you?
Well, I tried to play as I would really choose at first. Much to my chagrin, trying to be nice to everyone within reason and taking my own preferences when they didn't seem to hurt nor help anyone but me (as in the case of promising to run, or joining the art club) resulted in Manly Picnic Bloody Grinning Evil Death. Twice.
So, getting past that, given that I make it into each route:
So, getting past that, given that I make it into each route:
- Hanako: Good ending. This is what I got choosing what I would really do. Abandoning her when she needs you most is foolhardy, and Lilly's advice was solid and made sense.
- Lilly: Good ending. Ditto. The choices that get you the bad ending are all about hiding your past from her. I guess I'm not the kind of person who feels the need to hide these things from someone I love, or even am interested in.
- Shizune: Good ending. Ditto. Cheating? C'mon.
- Emi: Good ending. Ditto. The critical choices here are about listening to the advice of others. I never have much of a problem hearing people out. And if I got the path where I'm deciding whether to chase Emi down to prove she just lied about needing to use the toilet, well...let's just say it seems like a slight dick move anyway.
- Rin: Answer unclear, try again. Honestly, though, this is a hairy one. Walking through the choices, at the choice between "I need to understand" and "Then explain", I could easily see myself getting way more frustrated than Hisao and demanding an explanation. On the other hand, she had just finished saying she doesn't understand it herself, so demanding an explanation's not gonna work. Later, between "But if you found someone like that, then what?" and "But aren't you happy people are interested in your paintings?", I really have no idea which way I'd go. In reality, I'd probably say something unlike either of those. Maybe something like "Then let's just go back in there, give them some eccentric-sounding bullshit, and quickly exit like you're a genius who can't be bothered. That oughta dazzle 'em, then we can blow this pop stand." The result might be hilarious, too. Not sure if that would give a good or neutral ending, though. Good, I would hope.

Re: Which ending is most likely for you?
What about "leave the horribly depressed girl completely isolated and alone to sink into further depression" made any kind of sense at all? Logically, that's about as senseless as it gets, especially considering that's what is done every single year and Hanako's not at all better for it.Atario wrote:Lilly's advice was solid and made sense.
Realistically speaking, the ending doesn't even hinge on Lilly's advice anyway. You could just as easily get a good end by ignoring Lilly's advice while also not being a douche about it. Just the game never gives you that option.

Re: Which ending is most likely for you?
Yeah, I can actually easily relate to Hanako, because I had some real traumatic experiences in my past. Common sense is real key with all the girls, but it seems more so with Hanako then everyone else. To me, at least.
Re: Which ending is most likely for you?
I was deliberately limiting myself to the options presented in the game (except for Rin, where I kinda flailed for an answer at the end). I, too, like to think I could go and help Hanako without treating her like a fragile porcelain mouse. But if we're disregarding the limitations of the game, there really is no such thing as "an ending" in the first place, except your own death.Xanatos wrote:You could just as easily get a good end by ignoring Lilly's advice while also not being a douche about it. Hence why manly picnic is canon.Atario wrote:I was deliberately limiting myself to the options presented in the game (except for Rin, where I kinda flailed for an answer at the end). Re: Which ending is most likely for you?
If it was you yourself in your this game, it's possible you could have gotten manly picnic and not have died. Or, you could have died on the track, or died during one of the H-Scenes, or maybe died on the toilet.

Re: Which ending is most likely for you?
This topic is invalid.
None of the 'endings' would be for you because firstly you know what's happens and secondly you aren't a plot device who is allergic to it's emotions like Hisao. I think the decision point is ( assuming you have no knowledge of KS) how you react to your heart attack. Manly picnic is always an option, but Hisao gets super introvert and depressed rather fast when he goes to his untimely demise. After that, it's just who you are and how your outlook is. KS is mainly about discovering the girl' underlying emotion issues, and helping them through them. If you decide to really exercise, it doesn't really mean you'd end up with Emi's like canon, because you could still be a quiet type like Hanako. Simply doing that de syncs you from the original plot line, allowing you to create your own ending. Just don't write some terrible self-insert fanfiction. Das bad.
