I'm not much of a gamer, but I'd play the shit out of a female Link game.
Neither am I. I'm a casual Nintendo fan. In fact, the Legend of Zelda is my all-time favorite video game series, and it has been since I was two-years-old, and it's not going to change anytime soon. Or ever.
Now that I told y'all my favorite video game series for absolutely no reason other then the obligatory feeling to do so, I would also play the ever-lasting fuck out of a Rule-63 Zelda game. People already think Link's a girl, so this wouldn't be a big deal.
Hey. Hey, Nintendo. Make it.

I confess I've only ever played the original NES game. I just never had the money growing up to keep up with the various Nintendo systems. I've owned an NES, and a PSOne, that's about it.
More of a Final Fantasy whore myself.

Not a RPG fan, as you might guess. Combat systems confuse the hell out of me.

...You press 'attack' and you attack. How on Earth can that confuse you?

What to attack with. I look at FF's selection menus and go,"Where do I start?"

...Weapons. Obviously. Or magic if you like.

Thats why you start with the early ones. Like FF 3, or 4. IT was all pretty simple. Then FF 7 came along and from there on in the combat and magic systems just got insanely complicated.

Pick weapon or magic, pick target. "Insanely complicated".

Meh, Its mostly the Bonus system. I never did figure out what all the Materia did in 7. Or the whole Guardian linking system (I think it was called) in 8.
And don't get me started on the card games.

Materia wasn't complicated. You equip it, pick it from the menu.
The most complicated system so far has been 8 but I got a decent grasp on that. The tutorial's kinda shit at explaining it but it's essentially just "equip something and you're done". Now the card game in 8...Ugh. I'm one of few who even liked that game and it was trying too hard to complicate itself.
You want complication, I'll go break out Disgaea.

Yeah that was the problem with Materia. That was back when there wasn't much to the internet, and the docs didn't really explain what most of the Materia actually did, much less the bonuses you could get from combining them.
I think eventually I figured the systems out, but it took a lot of trial and error. And sadly, IX was the last one I played.

That'd be...9?
Play ten. It's good (if you overlook the protag's whiny bullshit). Its sequel...Debatably good. Bit of a split fanbase there.
