The problem with the kids will vary depending which route was completed...

Lilly: They've had so much tea they believe they're British and ignite a war to retake America.

Rin: They've been staring at a wall for a month straight in an unbreakable trance.

Hanako: They're part bacon. Or black, if your avatar is canon.

Shizune: They've integrated themselves into a supercomputer to become HAL 9000.

Emi: They conquered Earth by beating all the nations' leaders in a race and promptly retitled the planet Lemonrapia. Dystopian future ensues.

It would probably be better if somehow they ended up crossing each other's paths. Shizune as Emi's banker. Emi's and Miki's track teams clash at the finals, that sort of thing.

I could see Shizune, as the owner of the bank, sponsoring the track final.

But I wish Misha could somehow fit into this. She wanted to be a teacher.

Misha and Hisao as colleagues. Or her and Emi/Miki. Those two can't race competitively forever...

Emi and Rin I can't see keep much contact, though Rin is more observant than people give her credit for. She'd probably always know which things Emi was up to from local news or FB or something.

Lilly and Hanako, can't see them lose contact.

Neither can I for Misha and Shizune, her story shows how much she cares for Misha.
