I found the Paralympics as interesting as the regular Olympics - that is to say, pretty enjoyable to watch. It's great to see people like Ellie Simmonds and Oscar Pistorius getting past their own physical or mental setbacks to match, or in many cases improve upon, the achievements of the able bodied athletes like Mo Farrah and Chris Hoy. Yes, most of my examples there are British athletes. Yes, I am British. I actually went to the Victory Parade in London the other day, and saw the British Paralympic athletes alongside the Olympic athletes and felt the same sense of pride in all of them.

That being said, I am disgusted by the BBC's decision to not broadcast footage of the Paralympics, leaving it to a commercial channel (Channel 4) to do so - though I am proud of Channel 4 for their coverage, including giving the Paralympics the highest level of TV coverage so far in Britain since the games were started (again, in the UK back in 1948). If I had my way, there wouldn't be a seperate set of Games - instead, the two sets would be merged as one, and we'd have Paralympic and Olympic events staged alongside each other over a slightly longer time frame, with everyone treated equally. Sadly, that's not the case, and I doubt it will be for a long time to come, if ever...
