I must have misunderstood something, but in Lilly's path Akira refers to Hideaki as her boyfriend. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think it was meant as a joke. It's been a while since I played Lilly's route. I think she was just looking after him. Her real boyfriend moves to Scotland with her in the good ending.

Yeah, Hideaki and Akira are most certainly not dating. Akira's boyfriend is never actually given a name, but judging by what was said in Lilly's, Hanako's and especially Shizune's routes, it is safe to say that they are not dating.

Besides judging by Hideaki's appearance, we aren't even sure if he swings that way.
