And for all those overzealous vampire lovers:
Twilight didn't ruin vampires for any sober-minded reader (or spectator), it's not even a horror story. It's almost entirely badly written teen romance, with some mystic creatures in the background (ALMOST entirely, cause I tell you, it gains much, if you read it in a proper set of mind (as a pastiche-comedy) - Bell's inside rambling becames hilariously funny). And the term "vampire" isn't really our to own, it was stolen before, from folk tales originally.

On the other side, remember the WOD-haters, complaining on exagerrated angst popularized among Masquarade players. Rice-critisisers, anyone? And Stoker had his own haters back then, criticising his novel (did you read it? Was it really that good?).

I played old WoD, I played the new one, and would gladly play it now with some Twilight lovers, just for the fun of it, cause all this pop-culture thing is supposed to be fun. When people forget about it you have Harry-Potter riots on the street.

Pro tip: Don't allow yourself to form an idea of the world situation lurking at 4chan. Most people doesn't know about KS, and don't give a shit. Which is usually the case. "Cripple porn game" is the label associated with KS from the beginning, and while dev's dealt with it perfectly : It's still a game. It contains erotic pictures. Heroines are disabled. You can only argue (cause http://shimmie.katawa-shoujo.com/post/view/2570 - someone's wrong on the internet) or let the thing be. Haters gonna hate.

Also, I would have to make myself a "Team - Rin" tshirt now... damn you internet!

Similarities: Both are romantic stories featuring late teenaged protagonists and appealing to the same demographic. If KS were a book series, it would be in the 'Teen Fiction' section, right next to Stephanie Meyer.

Granted, I actually enjoyed this story where Meyer's writing made me physically ill (try telling that to my wife though, ho-lee-sheeit), so for me the similarities end there.

Still, you can make legit comparisons.

Hell, me being a huge KS fan, I even say "Babby's First VN" or "Twilight for Grown Lonely Men" just for kicks and trolling. I usually joking around and bash the game because I love it so much. Plus, I think if I bash somebody favorite fictional media, I think it's fair for somebody to bash mines. One of my best friend and I do it for fun because we know at the end of the day, we're joking and not gettin' buttmad (granted, my friend's jaded as fuck and think KS is trash but to quote a great movie "That's like, your opinion, man.")

Yes. I just started this thread because I am amused at the comparison. Sure, some KS fans might be as crazy as heresy but at least they aren't something like this:

Yeah, it is. But the fact that some people as so stupid, they might be just acting stupid for the hell of it.

what's the rationale of calling KS as Twilight for weeaboos, aside from the fact that they want to provoke a flame war?

Associating somebody with something he doesn't want to be associated with (like homosexual men or the Twilight fanbase) is a way to insult him. The idea is that the insulted person will stop his behaviour in order to no longer be associated with that group.

Needless to say that this shouldn't work on anyone above the age of twelve.
