From first time i saw it i liked Hanako, then from demo my order was something like
Shizune > Hanako > Emi > Lilly > Rin

After completing all 5 paths my order for each girls story is now(and the order i competed them):
Lilly(4) > Hanako(3) > Emi(2) > Shizune(1) > Rin(5)

As a side note, i still like Shizune but just feel her path was lacking, it was a good story as a whole, but could of branched off more.

In the act 1 demo it went naturally like this;

Kenji (yes, what the hell?)
Lilly
Emi
Shizune
Hanako
Rin

and after the full release came out it went to this;

Lilly
Shizune
Emi
Rin
Hanako

Totally changing my mind on the priority of stories for me now:

1 - Hanako
2 - Shizune
3 - Rin
4 - Emi
5 - Lilly

The order I played the demo in:
1) Emi (was trying for Hanako, but Emi was so cute I stuck with her)
2) Hanako
3) Lilly
4) Shizune
5) Rin

The order I played the full game in, from favorite to least favorite based on the demo:
1) Hanako
2) Shizune
3) Emi
4) Lilly
5) Rin

After finishing all the routes, my favorite to least favorite paths:
1) Hanako
2) Rin
3) Lilly
4) Emi
5) Shizune

Rin and Lilly really surprised me, as I wasn't really compelled by their act 1 paths in the demo. But, once Lilly got her own path seperate from Hanako, and I saw more of Rin's struggles and emotional arc, they both stood out as outstanding paths. Shizune's full path, on the other hand, disappointed me. After having IMO the best Act 1 ending, the rest of the acts didn't nearly match the emotional depth I had wanted and been expecting. Hanako was my favorite. No surprise there.

I can't really say what the BEST order to play all paths in is, but Hanako's, Lilly's, and Rin's paths were all very emotional, sometimes sad and sometimes dark, but all very fulfilling in the end. Emi's and Shizune's are lighter, but I liked Emi's path more--it seemed very realistic, and also fleshed out her character quite nicely.

So, if I had to hazard a guess at a good order, it would go something like:

1) Lilly
2) Shizune
3) Rin
4) Emi
5) Hanako

With the more emotional paths interspersed with the less emotional ones, getting Shizune's out of the way early to make room for the more compelling paths, and saving IMO the best for last.

How I played it (natural, no walkthrough required)

1) Emi
2) Lilly
3) Hanako
4) Rin
5) Shizune

How I'd recommend it be played :

1) Emi
2) Rin
3) Shizune
4) Hanako
5) Lilly

My initial priority, after finishing the Act 1 demo was:

1. Hanako (favorite character)
2. Lilly
3. Rin
4. Emi
5. Shizune (disliked character)

That changed a bit and now it's:

1. Hanako
2. Lilly
3. Emi
4. Rin/Shizune

I'm reading Rin's and Shizune's routes at the same time, but don't know which one I'll finish first. My best guess is Rin (I still dislike Shizune).

I can't remember in what order I cleared the endings in the demo, but I know that Emi was the first (unsurprisingly) and Rin was last.

Order I played them in.

1. Lilly
2. Hanako
3. Rin
4. Shizune
5. Emi

Order of enjoyment in sig. Though that's the actual paths, e.g I really like Rin as a character(In act 1 and others paths).

Before I knew about them except for their appearances starting the demo:

1. Hanako
2. Lilly
3. Rin
4. Emi
5. Shizune

Planned full version order:

1. Hanako
2. Emi
3. Shizune
4. Rin
5. Lilly

Actual: The only change was putting Shizune's route into the second position. I wanted to know if Misha had an ending. I wasn't enthusiastic about Emi and wanted to separate her from Rin to avoid seeing similar scenarios so soon (like the one with Emi's mom), but I couldn't resist the pink temptation (twice). Left Lilly last to see Hanako again as the game was coming to an end.

Order I played them in:

1. Hanako
2. Rin
3. Shizune
4. Emi
5. Lilly

I think I'm glad I did Hanako's first, because of its length - otherwise, I have a feeling it would have felt really short by the time I got to it. Instead, all of the other routes seemed really long, which was nice.

This was the order I played the routes in:

1. Emi
2. Shizune
3. Hanako
4. Rin
5. Lilly

EDIT: Thinking about it. I liked all the paths. Each one for different reasons. Sure there are some paths I like more than others, but I don't dislike any of them. So I'm not going to rank them. As that would imply that I didn't like the last one at all. Or at least not very much.

And finally this is the list I'd recommend in terms of story priority.

1. Emi
2. Rin
3. Shizune
4. Hanako
5. Lilly

I played them in this order:

1. Rin
2. Hanako
3. Shizune
4. Lilly
5. Emi

Most to least favorite:

1. Hanako
2. Rin
3. Lilly
4. Emi

I would recommend playing them in this order:

1. Shizune
2. Hanako
3. Emi
4. Lilly
5. Rin

When it still Demo

After the full release:

and regretting it. I should have saved Lilly for the last. Her route is the best one.

2.Rin (neutral, i got pretty sad about the this ending so ended putting off the good ending)
3.Hanoko
4.Shizune
5.Rin (good, i am very glad that I came back around to this because the ending was exactly how I felt it should of been)
6.Lilly
