I think that's the purpose of safe storage is.

Also worth noting is that if there's an error and you lose your stuff there is a good change the oekaki software saved your work as you were working on it. If you go to recover it, it should be there.

The only Codak I know takes pictures instead of writing.

Oekaki is not that bad of a tool. For instance, this picture was drawn in it, and it's not bad. Not to mention I've seen a lot of much better art done in it as well, but this is the one I could find on short notice.

Besides, a competent artist can make a drawing done with poop on a wall look good.
