I'd add 'Kana: Little Sister' to that list. Has both relatively "happy" and "sad" ends and will likely make you cry regardless of the nature of the ending.

heh, I recently downloaded these two but still didn't play. wanna do fate/stay night before those.

oh, I heard about Narcissu that it's an Utsuge- "Utsuge stands for utsu game, and it means "depressing game". The purpose of the game is to depress the player.

hmm.... gotta try then.

Depressing though it may be, it has a great story, and is incredibly well done.

that's the thing with a good story, man - any good story really gets you emotionally, and even if there's a good end, you still want more. it's the mark of someone who knows what they're doing. I don't think I've ever cried about a movie or book or stuff like that, and while KS had a few "gets you right in the heart" moments, I don't think I got tears going at any point. but the full version? I totally think it'll happen at least once. my bet is on Hanako's confession scene, either her confessing or Hisao confessing to her. gonna be heavy emotions all around.

might cry at the Rin route too, but only if she dumps Hisao and acts like it's no big deal.

With Hisao confused as fuck as to why that happened and Rin acting like she doesn't care about it, then Hisao gets pissed and ignores her completely. Seeing how the characters get out of that drama would be so damn interesting. Imagine the possibilities!

I think this is the wrong place to speculate about the plot of another VN, especially when you could just go and find out yourself.


Though, considering I've already finished F/SN, I think I get a vague sense of what the KS devs must feel when they hear people speculating about the plot. And I must say I'm mildly amused!

No manly tears, here, though there were numerous touching moments in the game that certainly had an emotional effect on me. Bad judge of that, though. I haven't been moved to tears by media since I saw Terminator 2 when I was little.

On topic, I'm desperately longing for a continuation. I need to see how everything ends, even if it ends badly.

word from the devs is it'll be out... wait for it... "when it's done." but it's not going to be "KS Act 2," it's going to be the whole game. so once the wait's over, it's over.

T2 is James Cameron's gift to teenage boys, everywhere.

Also, this might be the most horrible wait for anything I've ever wanted, ever. Mass Effect 2 no longer counts, because I've already beaten it. Repeatedly. Luckily for me, as an avid gamer, I'm well accustomed to "When It's Done". :p

After playing through Rin, Emi, and Lilly, the only one I cried on was Rin's because it was so beautiful. So, if the OP cried multiple times then he is most likely a babyman.

One of the moments that simply got to me was when talking to the librarian after seeing Hanako in the library the first time. Her simple way of turning Hisao's mind around with "It's only an elephant if you think of it that way" actually struck a chord in me somewhere.

A comment that made me tear me up, though, was actually in the "Blooper" thread in the Oekaki section. A screenshot of Rin saying something like "Even if you hug me, I can't hug you back."
