I don't have that much time on my hands, but I don't like copypasta either. >_>

That said, I thought I would do a decent summary of who they are, what their disability is, their relation to the other characters, personality, what they generally do over the course of Act 1, what they do for the festival, and various tidbits (like the stuff about Misha's lack of route or Kenji's bad end route). Most of that's already on the site, I just reworded it on my own. *shrug*

Actually, I should probably add a description of what they look like too.

I might be too detailed on some than others (part of Misha's and Rin's is admittedly speculation), but I've only played Emi's route and parts of Rin and Lilly, so it can't be helped much.
vaen wrote:this is true. also, I'm pretty sure someone will at some point remove the bit about minor characters as not relevant enough. the descriptions now are too big as they are. I wans't even sure if I should mention Misha at all at first.
we'll see how it evolves.
Too big? Compared to other character descriptions, this is nothing. You can get paragraphs of Pani Poni Dash! characters who haven't had an ounce of screentime. I didn't even include spoilers (mostly). >_>

Minor characters are important enough to warrant a section on the main site, why not on the Wiki article too? I admit to not be versed well in the formalities of Wiki pages, but I think it does its job well. Feel free to correct/add/remove whatever, though.

Also, Misha is listed as a major character on the main site. Or at least, under Shizune and the rest of the main cast before it cuts off to minor characters. :/

As you can see, some /b/tard got ahold of the article earlier, but it's been redacted since.

Yeah I noticed that too. I guess you could say that heralds back to this projects origins...

I did chuckle though, and almost expected the whole Bel Air thing afterwords.

I got one little heart attack and my mom got scared and said "You're moving to the school with disabled girls there"

I tried....

well first off wikipedia isn't quite all that fair in what is considered relevant and what isn't, nor are mods reasonable. furthermore pani poni dash is a fairly high budget commercial production shown on main stream tv. this changes things too.
I'm not telling you to change it, I think it's better this way too. I just think it's quite possible some moderator will come by, think it's not that important (like your umpteenth flashgame on the net) and start demanding crap or will nominate the entire article for swift deletion.

it has happened before. often.
this might very possibly change after the full version comes out though.

They're rather harsh on not-for-profit, independent, and Web-based games as well if they haven't been featured in the news,* and especially so if they're technically still in beta. Considering this is project is non-commercial, still hasn't been released, and hasn't generated a significant media buzz I wouldn't be surprised if this article gets nominated for deletion soon regardless of what you do. In this case if you can't dig up references to KS from notable, reliable media sources you're pretty much screwed and may as well just wait until the full game comes out to generate media attention.

*here I'm referring specifically to Cyber Nations, which was only "allowed" on Wikipedia after a retarded incident involving Nazis and Norway, and now 1/4 of the entire page refers specifically to that incident and now even Nordreich has their own Goddamned Wikipedia article.

Edit: Now I'm not suggesting that we go cause a diplomatic incident with Japan to increase KS's notability, as that would be a real dick thing to do; but it would certainly do the trick. Though, given the reaction in Japan to the epithet "Katawa," I imagine that once the full game is released "big media" will be just around the corner.

Edit2: To put this in perspective, imagine a bunch of dudes in Japan get together and decide to pay tribute to American culture by making a porn game centered around a white dude finding out he's 1/64th black and getting sent to a school full of black kids and he has to find a date with a black girl or get stabbed. Now imagine that the game is called "N*gger Girl."

Should I feel bad for having a hard time not laughing while writing that?

Ah, that makes sense then. Well, I suppose one could archive this too until later.

Most mods suck nowadays... *hails from GameFAQs*

No you shouldn't. I was pretty much laughing my ass off.

That said, I think that people who are offended by ethnic slurs or "bad words" are just overtly sensitive. I'm of German heritage, and I don't get offended by being called a "Kraut" or a "Jerry", which used to be considered offensive terms to Germans (The only reason why they're not as offensive anymore is because Germans are now lumped into a group collectively called "Whites"). "Kraut" was about as offensive as "Nigger" is today. (BTW, most of us are adults here. I think we can spell out a word w/out censoring it when we're not actually using the word offensively.)

Then again, I do browse 4chan, so my argument may be invalid, lol.

Edit: I just realised, I've derailed about two other threads already, lol. I should stop doing that.
