Other factors? You only need one factor: It's the most unnecessarily complicated bullshit on the face of the planet.

Who needs to learn another language when there's google translate? .... I wish I could speak Japanese

The truth is everyone says that. Try actually being faced with that scenario and see if your hypothetical devotion holds up. It's nothing to claim you "walk the walk" unless you've actually done so. /cynicalpost
It is amazing how many people aren't able to back up their words. "Oh, we'll like you no matter what happens." before the event happens becomes "Hey, look. It's the freak." after the event happens.
Yep.
Unfortunaly love is a nice idea, but hardly works in reality.
Sometimes it do, and its amazing, but most people arent really capable of that. What is funny is that IMHO those that say "I love you" the most are the less prone to really stay with someone. Someone who really takes a while to say "I love you" and knows how important this is is more prone to really stick with someone.

Btw, found a picture of a girl that had 45% of her body burned about 2 months ago (Santa Maria party club fire, it even apeared on CNN. 241 dead).

Are you sure about that? Japan's uptight as hell.
Thats certainly what I've heard. Its all about conformity and fitting in. Seems rather dull actually.
I guess that's why so much emotion gets poured into the arts, as a release mechanism.
As compared to America where ours are rather dull by comparison since we tend to express our drama in real life.
I think they also worry because the place is so cramped that you are always dealing with a lot of people in small places on a daily basis, so strong emotions would "bother" too many people.
Nonetheless, maybe that is just one image we have of them. Ive readed a bit of manga and from that (yes, I know its fiction), they seen to be pretty open to sex.

she is holding her dead 5 year old boyfriend photo lol, so I guess not even the best wingman in the world would be able to help
at least the girl made out alive. the poor girl had multiple surgeries and skin transplants, lost 8 kgs in the hospital and took 1 month to be able to walk again.
The guy went to the hospital too, but died in the same day they were going to celebrate their 5 year aniversary together

I misread that first part as her boyfriend was physically Five years old.
Then I reread it an understood you meant "boyfriend of five years"

Wow, she's pretty well healed, considering this was only two months after the incident. I wish her all the best and give my condolences.

No kidding, bless her. I'd be a freakin wreck if I were in her shoes.

Awful things don't just happen to people in VN's.
Makes you think every time you hear about a traffic death, a fire, or a shooting. Its just another news story to us, but there are real live people behind those stories who's lives have just been changed forever.

I can't relate to the problems in any way, but I can read eyes. She is very much in pain. The entire picture gives off an aura of utter-most sorrow and despair.

Looking, looking...Nope. Just see eyes.
Since when has it ever really been possible to see emotions by looking at slimy orbs embedded in someone's face?
