Does anyone know any free VNs that I can get my hands on easily?
Hello! Kei-chan. How your throat doing? Aha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Too bad we didn't have a box of choclate.
Well, If you cut the "free" part. You might found some that's on the few first page.
I recommend Narcissu, It would suit your "free" policy well.
Kanon : I think I am kind of like Amano. She may ranks 2nd in my favorite character so far. Finished Miko... Wait, what her name? Oh, Makoto's path. It's quite short, I can't even remember her name.
If anyone replace VN's intro with 2006 anime's one. That would be great.

According to me, Nayuki's route in the true route.
Really? Cousin love is true route? I thought Ayu's is, as the opening imply.
You're right. Ayu's route is the true route, but I'd like to think it's Nayuki's.
If you choose to ignore all of the girls, you'll end up being on Nayuki's route. That's why. The one route you can't avoid. ^^'

Well, only some chapters of it + the
Kanon & Air Sky manga.

That weird feeling when you knows everyone name even you never watch anime. I now watching Higurashi's anime and intended to watch to Watanagashi arc, Finish Tataragoshi in it's VN and watch it then go for Kai. I think I recently have to "adapt" to many drawing style.
By the way, I thought the intro of Onigafushi is occured in Sonozaki's house,Isn't it. Why it is Keiichi's house in anime? or I happens to get spoiled?
and I wonder how long anime will be if they actually showed most conversation from VNs.

I'd actually recommend you finish Tatarigoroshi and Kai in the VNs first, before you watch the anime. The anime is good in its own way, but it isn't as good at controlling information as the VN is.

I'm actually still waiting for Air to be translated, and refuse to watch the anime until then

There's actually a new OVA-season or movie of Higurashi coming this year.

The doesn't really spoil much, neither does the movie. As for the manga I mentioned, it's just a short mashup of Kanon and Air, so it doesn't spoil a single thing from either of the series.

Oh yeah, I've heard something about that. Is that the one that takes place
after the disaster?

You seem to have forgotten a word there
How can a movie or an anime adaptation of a VN not have spoilers?

It's a bit of a bonus arc, but it's still an interesting read. Makes you pretty suspicious of a certain someone.

There already are two OVA-seasons that takes place after
the disaster, so it's likely that the new season/movie will do that too.

Well, it spoils some stuff, but nothing important.

OtakuNinja wrote: Well, it spoils some stuff, but nothing important.

Sort of. You'll see.

That's not true. It only spoils from one of the routes!

This. I was thinking of a good way to say it without spoiling anything, and that works perfectly.
OtakuNinja wrote:That's not true. It only spoils from one of the routes!
Let me guess, the true route?

Maybe...
You should watch the movie. It's sort of like an OVA: it doesn't spoil anything from the VN, but the story is similar (albeit much shorter!)

Well, I might do that then, after all, I'd be lying if I said that every single story by Key is completely unique.
On a side note, I've found that I have a lot of free time, and nothing productive to fill it with (studying for the exams that are in a week? nah), so I've found a Japanese self-study course.
I often try new things only to drop them after a while, but if I don't drop this, maybe I won't even have to wait for Air to be translated.

IMO, the movie is much better. The anime dragged on too long and didn't explore the other routes enough.
Air will be translated before you learn enough Japanese to read it.
