Well, it was more or less born out of their clash in the chapter "Cold War" where the comparison is made. Mind, who is who tends to be pretty subjective from subject to subject.
In Shinzune's case, I think it'd be less of "Devil" and more of a "Devil's Advocate" - someone who'd respond to a point by adding a counter-point to promote inverted thinking or a differing perspective.
I'm sorry, whenever I hear "Devil", I think of that one Anne Hathaway movie.
Also, I was joking about the Shizune thing. Don't take me seriously, ever, unless I'm serious. And if Shizune's the Devil's Advocate, does that make Misha or Jigoro the devil?

I've always had more of a Mutou over my shoulder. The other guy never showed up so I have to take his shitty advice, which just makes me even more awkward.
