I thought of that when I watched Pacific Rim the other day. Think about it: A Jaeger has two pilots. The KS girls themselves tend to also be in pairs (Hanako-Lilly, Shizune-Misha, Emi-Rin). Though unless they completely overhaul the interface, it's going to be really hard to get the girls up to speed. Just moving the darn thing requires both arms and both legs of both pilots, and the interface is packed with various sensors and information, with even more information being told to you by not-GLaDOS, so a pilot needs to be able to see as well as hear.

The great part is that the screenshot I used to add that line is actually from when Hanako was telling Hisao about Akira, from Quiet from Act 1 (the scene immediately after committing to Hanako's route).

And, I'm more... realistic. My physical preferences actually tend towards women like Emi and Akira, but let's face it, motorboating really isn't gonna work there.

Shopkeeper, that would be because no one does care about you. (Although not having any pics on the Mishimmie isn't as bad of a thing as you seem to think.)
As for the other two, I love the idea of Lilly being played by someone whose personality is completely at odds with that of the character she portrays. (Warning: The preceding link leads to TvTropes. Click at your own risk.)
Actually, this starts me thinking about what kinds of actors might play others:
Hanako: A young actress who's just getting her first big break. Is getting tired of all that time spent in the makeup chair.
Rin: A method actor who spends time between takes lying on her trailer roof, trying to get into and stay in character.
Kenji: An actor known for playing wacky characters, and who is thus completely typecast in KS.
Mutou: David Tennant.
