When you consider naming your children after some of the characters...

"Would Shizune Miller please come and pick up her baggage at Gate 10?"

"If everyone would welcome Kenji Griswold to the class." *applause*

"Paul Gustavson, with honours..."
*hands diploma* *bouncy balls fly across the stage*
"Frederick Tomlinson..."
"Nurse Lawless, with honours..."

To be honest, if I ever ended up having a blind daughter, I probably would name her Lilly. But that's as far as I'd go. I wouldn't name my deaf daughter Shizune.

When you become a regular editor of KS's TVTropes page.

And I never *used* to drink this much tea, (and I am not really a Lilly fan.)

You think of Anime Crossovers as well as how Misha and Shizune would make a *great* Boke and Tuskkoki routine. (And Emi and Rin would probably be a better one.)

You mean tsukkomi.

MANZAI TYME!!
Shizune: [Watashi wa, hana ga suki desu]
Misha: "[Eh? Hana?]"
Shizune: [uun, uun. Sou2.]
Misha: "[Hee...watashi mo hana wa suki da yo!]"
Shizune: [He? Hontou?]
Misha: "[Sou desu! Datte, kimi no hana wa nagatte, soushite kireina to omou yo ne!]"
Shizune: [SORE WA HANA DA!! HANA JANAI YO!!]

(a play of word. 'Flower' in Japanese is 'Hana', while 'nose' in Japanese is also 'Hana'. Differentiated by the use of different Kanjis. In this *short* example of a manzai, Shizune states that she likes flowers. Misha comments she likes noses--especially Shizune's nose because it's long and beautiful. :) )

...as a joke of a word, if Hanako's name is written with the kanji of 'nose', you'll have 'Nose Girl/Nose Child'

When you look at your breakfast plate with bacon and eggs and think it's Hanako's face.

When you look at your toothpaste and refused to use it after you realized it was 'lemon scented'

They say they hate Shizune? What is this? BLASPHEMY!

SHII-HAEL!

...you reply the most heart wreching scenes in the KS library. Even when the game isn't running, you find yourself playing songs from the KS soundtrack on youtube.

When you start heavily researching different disabilities and find wikipedia unsatisfactory. It lists all of this broad medical information and political groups but has nothing on how conditions affect sensations and day-to-day life. I tell myself that I'm doing this research for a fan project, but I'm pretty sure that it's just an idle curiosity infinite loop.

OR,

You do the 'HHHHNNNNGG' gag with a bunch of friends and non of them know what the hell you are doing, and explaining the joke would mean explaining what a VN is in the first place.
Hanako's favorite joke is The Aristocrats, but she never tells it because Lilly finds it really offensive. Instead, she practices her delivery in front of a mirror when she's alone. It's the only time she never stammers.

I wish I could save at each decision and go back if I don't like the outcome.
