Hey I just finished my first playthrough (answered how I would, got Emi's 'good' ending ) and I was wondering if there were any plans for development/port to the mobile front. I realize that if it hasn't started it would take quiet awhile, but it was just a though
Although RenPy has been partially ported to Android, it doesn't look like KS will run on it. Besides, do you really want to be putting a pornographic video game of any type on something that can not only be lost or stolen easily, but also easily tied back to you?

Again, only partially, and that doesn't even include the modifications the KS devs made to the engine.
Hmm good point.. but I think if a good dev sat down with the code and the engine, they'd be able to knock something up... I mean it would be easier for people to play it on their mobile device and stuff...
Exactly how easy it would be is uncertain. KS doesn't actually use (or modify) the latest RenPy: I don't know the details, but apparently some of the changes interfere with one another. This would all have to be sorted out before a port could be done.
Also, would a mobile device really be easier to use for this game than a PC? How so, especially given since none of the walled-garden app stores are likely to accept it due to content?

Absolutely god-awful idea. Do you seriously want to be playing KS on the bus or elsewhere in public, and then start breaking down when you get to Hanako's bad ending (or a similarly heartcrushing scene)?
How embarrassing. Besides, KS isn't exactly a casual time-killer of a game like Angry Birds.

I think the Android Market is pretty lax when it comes to adult app content. I don't think it would cut for the App Store, adult content.
I don't think the game would be terribly harder to play on a mobile device. A touch to continue the story, touch to choose choices. But I do think 4LS already stated that they won't be working on a mobile port of KS...ever.

Ok, didn't think this would get such... heated (for lack of a better word) responses, I was just wondering... lol, and if anything, get a version of the engine to work on android and the game could run as a platform of that (although maybe not, I'm equating it to an emulator in the sense of xNES, etc. and that the game would just run on top of that engine emulator, which probably makes no sense and would never work anyway haha)

Yes, because I have no shame.
The only difference between theory and reality is that in theory there is no difference, but in reality there is.

A: The answer is no. Don't bother asking. Additionally, don't talk about it here.

Not so much port of the game as the engine, doesn't necassarily involve this dev team in the first place, and sorry didn't see the game FAQ, just the forum's, oops..

Ha! Very much so, but I recall game rules stating that no ports are allowed? And even if it was, how many people would actually play it? (especially in public)
