Just wanted to let you know I would be interested in the Japanese translation / localization.
I am a native Japanese, full time IT worker, and do J2E/E2J translation for a hobby.
(I submitted the website translation if you remember...)
Haven't gone through all the game, but seeing all other translation offers, I didn't want to be too late.
I understand that the complete size of the text will be quite large. Considering all the proofreading / harmonization / eroge-oriented retouch required, I don't think I would be able to handle this all by myself in a realistic time.
It may be possible to team up with other parties who are interested in the same.
I do would like to know if there are any, or if anyone came up to you already.
(Plz post if anyone is out there)
Thoughts pleaze.
Japanese Localization
Re: Japanese Localization
Sorry I forgot to login for the post above.
PS.
I don't have any knowledge on hacking binaries or Ren'py itself.
My contribution will be basically limited to translation related efforts.

Re: Japanese Localization
We're interested in general. However, I recommend you play the whole thing first, to see what you're getting yourself into. Also, you should maybe visit the IRC channel. But we're having a bit of discussion about a general translation policy at the moment anyway, and will probably provide a framework in the near future.
Re: Japanese Localization
Hi hir,I 'd like to help you with the translation, if you let me.
I'm a native speaker of Japanese who speaks english as the second language, not quite well yet though.
unfortunately I haven't got much experience in X translation, but I think I got a kind of knack for it.
I don't have any degree in english, so to prove myself I translated some text in KS Act1(the first scene and the second). Here.

I'm looking forward to your reply. thanks.

もしこいつ多少は使えそうだと思ったら日本語翻訳に加えて頂ければと思います。
