How come Hisao doesn't have his own character phrase?

Post by RZR »

Such as Lilly's "Can you see what I see?" or Hanoko's "Can you face your fears?" on the main page of the site. I realize that the game is more about the girls than Hisao, but still, I feel that he has as much troubles in his life/future as the girls and other characters.

Anyway, if he DID have his own phrase, what do you guys think it would be?

I would think something like "Can you live your life?" as it has a bit of a dual meaning, Can he continue to live with the debilitating heart condition, as well as, Can he live this new life given to him, through Yamaku Academy?

"Can you open your heart to others?"

Even if Hisao has no catch phrase, that's not because it's not about him. Quite the opposite, in fact. The entire VN is about him and his heart problem--both literally and figuratively.

I guess it'll have to do with love, friendship, blank slates, or second chances.

Also, "Ima rub my cum in yo burnscars" :D
Progress : Lilly - finished (Good ending), Hanako - finished (good ending), Rin - finished (Good ending), Shizune - finished (Bad ending), Emi - Finished (good ending)

That would be Kenji's catchphrase, not Hisao's.

I'm trying to rack my brain right now to come up with one. I imagine it would follow the pattern of the girls where each of them are something that literally can't be done because of their disability...How about....

"Can you trust your heart?"

Of course in this case, he can never fully trust his heart not to fail on him due to his condition. Then there is the fact that throughout the story he has to come to realize that the way he perceives his own disability and the disabilities of others may not be correct. Of course, this mixes in the meaning of heart with that of the mind, but I think it works well enough.

Another acceptable sentence would be "Can youHNNNNNNG!"
100% Complete.
So here's my ranking:
Hanako>Lilly>Rin>=Emi>Shizune

Excellent suggestion. If KS would ever come out in a CD with casing format, this should be the official tagline of the game!

"Can you HNNNNNNGGGGGG...!!"

ooh, I think this is even better. Since all of the other catchphrases have some sort of double meaning, this one fits the most IMO.

Hisao doesn't have one because he is a blank slate and he reacts differently in the different routes and has a different focus.

If he had a phrase I'd vote for: "Can you face your feels?"
Can you face your feels?

I always thought it was "Can you seize the day?"
Shizune: [Why does he get to see your room and I can't? Is it a guy thing?]
Hisao: It's not a secret club being a guy.
Kenji: It should be. With rings. Rings with big ass emblems. And gold!

That's Rin's, I guess.
While we are here discussing, Hanako is somewhere hopping from dark to darker tiles. Alone.
