Oh yeah, forgot about this.
My weeaboo side needs to know.
What pronouns/honorifics do they use?Suriko wrote: We have internal idea of which characters use which honorifics in which situations. When the Japanese translation team was translating Act 1, we worked extensively with them on which honorifics characters used.

Re: Ask!
I assume you mean a new game? Well, at least an idea/concept that would REALLY grip the attention of everyone. And then something to convince us that doing it is worthwhile. Maybe some interesting hook in what the game would technically/presentation/structure-wise be like, for instance, now that we've done a very very standard type of VN.vAnon wrote:What do you think it would take to inspire 4LS to do it 'all over again'? And on that note, do you throw around character ideas or VN concepts amongst yourselves alot?
To latter question, yes, and often.

It's a very nice color. I don't really know what else to say. A lot of these kinds of decisions were not made with some grand PURPOSE.kidlat020 wrote:this wasn't definitely asked before. I've used the search but to no avail.
Why beige color?

Re: Ask!
Because then the rest of the story would not have happened. You have to realize that a VN is a story, not a simulation. Some plot points have to happen to make the story go forward. Why is there not a choice for Hisao to decline going to Yamaku? Because then we'd have no story at all and that'd be boring.Otakumon wrote:During Rin's arc it seemed to me that Nomiya was pushing her toward the show for his own self serving reasons but when Rin looks to Hisao for advice there was no choice to advise her against doing the show, all three were just variations of telling her to go for it. Why was there no choice to advise her against it?

One of the best examples of what we tried to do with the sex scenes in KS. We even managed to execute it acceptably.urishima wrote:How do you personally feel about the first h-scene in Rin's path?

Re: Ask!
If you're a weeaboo you can probably guess what honorifics everyone uses based on their personality and familiarity with the other characters. Rin doesn't use any, Lilly is very formal, Emi isn't, etc etc. All the girls use "atashi" or "watashi", Hisao uses "ore". You can just play Act 1 in Japanese and find all these out, including the side characters.Pata Hikari wrote:Oh yeah, forgot about this.

WARNING: NOT AN OFFICIAL EXPLANATIONGuest wrote:If Lilly's and Shizune's fathers are brothers, why do they have different surnames/family names?
While I'm not finished with Lilly's path yet, it has never been confirmed that their fathers are brothers so far. From what I can tell, this is merely an unsubstantiated assumption that Hisao makes in "Presents and Presence" based on Akira's statement that Hideaki and Shizune's father is her and Lilly's uncle. His reasoning in this case is rather dubious: just because the uncle is explicitly mentioned, that doesn't automatically mean that he's the blood relative. It's just as likely that a man with the surname Hakamichi married the sister of Lilly and Akira's father, which would mean that their aunt is the blood relative and their uncle is related by marriage.
Alternatively, if Hisao's guess is indeed correct, it's possible that the brother of Lilly and Akira's father pulled a Gendo Ikari and married a woman of higher social standing than him and took on her last name instead of vice-versa. While not exactly common, this isn't exactly unheard of in Japan.
Re: Ask!
You are mistaken. It is not Hisao who radomly guess their father are brothers. It is Hideaki who tell this himself. In "Used-Mention Distinction", Shizune's route, Act 3, Hisao ask Hideaki about Hakamichi and Satou relation. To which Hideak reply:Lunar Archivist wrote:WARNING: NOT AN OFFICIAL EXPLANATIONGuest wrote:If Lilly's and Shizune's fathers are brothers, why do they have different surnames/family names?

So, yeah, not a unsubstantiated assumption. Unless Hideaki is lying for some unknown reason, their fathers are brothers.Hideaki wrote:"Family issues. Our fathers are brothers, and do not like each other."
