I thought i did almost everything right for Hanako *SPOILERS

I finished the game last night at about 2:30 am and i was in shock that i ended with the bad ending.
I thought all the choices i made were going to give me the good ending. In the end i decided to accept my fate - until i saw the flowchart

In my original play through I did the following choices

Yeah, you were supposed to choose to go into town with her.

Actually, in the library the "correct" choice for Hanako would be to apologize for scaring her, but you can get to her path even if you mess that one up.

But the thing i found the most bizarre is that I got the worst ending from doing those even though they seem to cancel each other out

I wasnt very clear
I mean that the choices i made seem to cancel each other out which would lead me to get the neutral ending and yet i get the worst

Well,in the chapter "Beginning of the End", when Lilly has left, you must go into town with Hanako to be able to get the good end.
