Anyone else got the Kenji (bad ending?) in their first...

Thought I was on the Lilly path when I was in fact on the Shizune and then Rin paths.

Ended up with Kenji.

i am a bit Dum so i pushed my self on the run... so got Emi's ending 1st run...
dont remember who i got 2nd run.
Kenji was the 2nd to last one i got. as i started to use the walkthrough (path map) img at some point.
my last play was Rin useing the path map it was a bit hard to find her end..

on a note i dont like doing bad end's last... to end on a Sad end is well SAD...
and ending up DEAD is as SAD as a sad end that you can get...

I got emi's my first time, too.

Out of all the endings, I'd say I like Shizune's the best. It's the only ending that's actually romantic.

I found Kenji's ending kind of depressing for obvious reasons.

Being the old (actually young) romantic that I am, I must agree that I enjoyed Shizunes ending due to it actually being semi-romantic compared to the others. I think I got Kenji's ending second, although it was a while ago, and its quite sad that I thought it was goin pretty well till...well, splat!!

Hey guys, I don't want to open an extra thread for this, so I just put this question in this thread instead, as it's not quite off-topic ... or so I hope.

So: When the full game comes out - for which endings are you trying to aim for first, bad or good? man, I don't know if this was asked already somewhere, but whatever.

When Act1 came out, I didn't even know there was a bad ending this early. When I've found out (after 1-2 playthroughs I got curious of these "mean" options), I was like whooohooo! Seriously, that was a great bad ending. well, but that aside: We now know that there will be two endings (or so I've heard?) for each girl, good and bad. So, how are you going to do it?

I for myself always want to see the bad ending first. This has two reasons: 1. Somehow, I'm much more curious about them. 2. It would leave a bad taste for me, having a happy lovely ending first and then playing the bad ending route ... uhm ... I don't know how to explain this. I rather wanna finish happy instead of bad! Uh, and sometimes, bad endings suck. Simply because they're bad. Good endings always can make up for this. (Yume Miru Kusuri bad endings were quite meh for me, for example...)

Uh, I know this is a little weird question, but I'm curious. I'm asking because I'm pretty sure the devs won't make it too hard or cryptic for the player to reach either ending, (you know, like: to reach the good ending, you need to order coffee instead of tea AND read book A instead of book B in front of Hanako. ... something like this.) so that you can decide yourself in which direction you're heading. Well, I'm not sure about Rin concerning this, but that's it!

I know a lot of people started the game with the intention of going for someone else ending, but ended up liking Hanako more. I was kind of the opposite. I wanted to see her ending (still do) but ended up liking the relationship between Hisao and Shizune more. It's funny, I think in real life, someone like her would drive me crazy. Maybe I'm just more attracted to quiet girls. Oh, hello Misha. :/

I think each arc should have it's own "kenji" ending, if only just so I can see what ways Kenji can inadvertently and indirectly kill Hisao.

That would be awesome. In Shizune, Kneji gets Hisao to drown, In Emi he gets Hisao to die ina car crash, in Hanako, on a fire of course XP JUst joke example but I like the idea XP

The thread is here. But that's been long dead so it's good that you posted it here.

As for me, I already know that I'm going for Shizune first, so I'll try to get her good end on my own. But like the first time I played act 1, I'll probably mess up somewhere along the line and get a bad end. After that I'll go for the rest of the girls, maybe with a walkthrough, maybe not. And then I'll use a walkthrough to get the bad ends for completion's sake. Reading this back, I realize that this is exactly how I went about completing act 1...

That might be a little silly. Sure KS has its comedic moments, but the bad ends should be designed to make you feel bad.

There is a Kenji route, it's just formed from a series of bad ends and therefore a.) tragic as fuck and b.) assumes a Hisao so trauma-resistant that he could work at Hinata House. You heard it here first.

Oh, and "inadvertently and indirectly"? Not necessarily.

The answer is no. As a regular and experienced VN player, I had no trouble getting all the endings. I only got Kenji end out of curiosity when my friend told me about it. It's actually a pretty simple game if you compare it to Fate, Clannad, Kanon, Tsukihime and some other VN.

If you think this is hard then what till you play the REAL HARD ones like Amagami, Kimikiss and those stat-building types. Those are the worst. (never wanna touch TokiMemo ever again.....)

I got Kenji's end on the first play.

Was actually going for Hanako's end first, but I slipped up. (Spoilers for anyone who hasn't tripped over this yet)
On the bit where Hisao is coming back to Yamaku with Lilly and Rin in tow, and Lilly asks him if he's ok. By this point in the game, on my first foray into this little world, I had Hisao down as the sort of guy who always acts like "Nah, it's cool. I'm fine" around others even if there really is something wrong. So I thought he'd be more likely to say "I'm fine", then he sort of blew up at them and did a runner, I was like "oops!".
Next thing I know, I end up as street pizza... *sigh* Restart!

I guess thats why i save regulary hehe tho kenjis end is kinda funny i didnt really like it

ohh and to answerw the blog post i got hanako first deffently my favorit one tho shizunes end actually wasnt bad and actually made me warm up to shizune
