I think you're right, Leotrak. Looking at it again, they definitely look younger.

Besides, Shizune's breasts aren't that small. :P

I like the artworks, don't get me wrong...but I can't ignore the long necks on Shizune and Emi. :? They look like i could just snap them like pencils.
Being deaf has its advantages...such as I don't have to run into a burning building because I can't hear the screams for help.

The necks are definitely too long - with all four girls.
Other than that those look great. The style is different than that of the sprites, but then art isn't about copying other's styles, is it?
My favourite of those is Rin.
Emi > Misha > Hanako > Lilly > Rin > Shizune

Hm...I'm guessing, but could you be talking about Parmigianino? I did a paper on him. Hated his art style...temporarily hated the teacher for forcing the topic on me. :(

I looked at the Shizune one and instantly thought "Nagato"

Wow, very cute. Reminds me of '90s anime. I think the style works best for Shizune.
