What you WOULD have wanted to happen in the story

I would personally like to see rins sex scene include a foot job and or other footfetish material.

When those scenes come up, I'm pretty much going to focus just on the text box and read through 'em as quickly as possible to get onto the rest of the plot.

To each his own I suppose. But I have to say, we can't expect a footjob scene no matter how blatantly obvious it would seem.

If you're talking about my aversion to porn as a whole, though... Well, that I can't really explain. I mean, I can tell you that it just feels creepy and voyeuristic to me to look at it. Why is that? Well, that I can't rightly say, but I don't begrudge others for their enjoyment of it. *shrugs* Like you said: to each their own.

Actually, the devs said that while the h-scenes can be skipped, you would miss out on a big chunk of plot. They likened skipping an h-scene to skipping any other scene in the game. You would be disoriented because you have no idea how Hisao got to where he is, or why the other characters are talking about actions that you have no recollection of. They have said that there are no plans to include any sort of summary, or text that would fill in where the h-scene is. It is simply a jump.

Well, last I read (in the 'Erotica' thread), that there aren't currently any plans for there to be summary text. I don't remember them stating outright that folks like me would be screwed for sure if we wanted to skip the H-scenes. It was heavily implied, though, so you're probably right.

I'd love some background on why some of the school staff are working at Yamaku rather than elsewhere. I mean, Nurse is obvious, but why Mutou? Yuuko? Nomiya? I think that'd be interesting, though admittedly it doesn't have much to do with the main romantic plot.

Well, last I read (in the 'Erotica' thread), that there aren't currently any plans for there to be summary text. I don't remember them stating outright that folks like me would be screwed for sure if we wanted to skip the H-scenes. It was heavily implied, though, so you're probably right.

Fair enough. Like I said, I'd already accepted that probability and if the visuals are too uncomfortable for me, then I'll just focus on the text boxes.

I like that the sex scenes are integrated into the story. In reality, sex isn't some sordid, parallel life - an addiction that you sneak off to sate every so often; it's as much a part of life as eating, drinking, hanging out with friends, going for a walk in the park - whatever. It's actually kind of juvenile to try and segregate it, since you're inadvertently putting it on a pedestal. It can seem odd to watch two other characters have sex, but everything you do in a VN will be voyeuristic. There's a very good argument that wanting to spend 30 hours watching someone going to school and eating lunch is far more creepy and inexplicable than wanting to watch them fuck.

The thing that raises it above voyeuristically peering in on someone's daily life is that there's a dramatic form to it; that it's not entertaining simply because you're spying on someone else (or pretending to be a young boy, depending on how you see it) but because of the dialogue, the interaction, the recognition of their actions as things you've done yourself, empathising with the characters, and because the whole thing is carved into some sort of meaningful narrative rather than just being an illustrated form of spying on a young boy's daily life for a good many of hours. If the sex is merely tacked on, it's returning to just being voyeuristic (but again, at least a natural and reasonable form of voyeurism); if sex is totally absent, it's unrealistic and there's an important part of life mysteriously absent; if it's done believably and integrated well, it's justified by that list of things I just mentioned that also justify the whole experience.
