"Disability has changed. It's no longer about deformity, incapacity, or exclusion. It's an endless series of sexy delights evoked by amateur game coders and their fans. Disability, and its impairment of life, has become a well-oiled machine. Cute girls carry cute tics, use cute prosthetics. Hitherto unknown public consciousness enhances and regulates their wider exposure. Genetic control. Ambulatory control. Emotion control. Social control. Psychoses are monitored, and kept under control. Disability has changed. The age of cloistering has become the age of open participation. All in the name of avoiding treating different people patronisingly. And he who controls public morals, controls history. Disability has changed. When attitudes are under total control, disability... becomes accepted."

There was a young clerk who took exception to Curzon's memorandum. He thought it was balls. But he was afraid to say so directly, so he scratched faintly in the margin, 'Round Objects'. Lord Curzon replied in a note: "Who is Mr. Round, and why does he object?"

Oi, go a mite easier on the general spazzing, quoting and reaction-imaging, people.
Shattering your dreams since '94. I also fought COVID in '20 and '21, and all I got was this lousy forum sig.
Re: This chessboard.
I know it's been said. But the black squares are missing holes.
The pieces would just topple over or wobble.
It is driving me nuts.

Re: This chessboard.
Sorry, that was a bit rude. It looks very good otherwise. Very clean and soft.
Re: This chessboard.
Only on the internet can a box be worshiped like a god.

Re: This chessboard.
Know what would have made this a lot less painful?
Fucking magnets.
Fucking magnets.
Re: This chessboard.
Adding the holes on the board was possibly the least difficult task by far. You'd still have to have raised black squares to distinguish them.
Re: This chessboard.
We can't use magnets; no one knows how they even work.Csihar wrote:Know what would have made this a lot less painful?

Re: This chessboard.
Amazing what people expect to be in a random box...
But why didn't you use the 3D model? There are great renders (is that the correct word?) that can make a 3d model look like a 2D illustration. And since you can use layers, you can render each part differently. Drawing/painting it from scratch sounds more like forced labor than art... Not that I really know what I'm talking about though.
