Act 1 v2 doesn't work on ReactOS, but Act 1 v1 does?

For whatever reason, Act 1 v2 doesn't work on ReactOS even though Act 1 v1 did. (See video)

From my knowledge, isn't the only technological under-the-hood difference a slightly newer version of Ren'Py? I was hoping to possibly find out more on what changes there are between Act 1 v1 and Act 1 v2 in an attempt to possibly pin-point the issue.

I have been curious what the differance between V1 & V2 is. Also, is there a way I can figure out which version I actually have?

For Act 1 v2, the installer has a "v2" in the filename, while Act 1 v1 had no version number.
