Disdain

Post by abscess »

The product of insomnia. Hope ya peeps like it ;)
Now I think it'd be wise to try to get some shut eye. Later.

BTW, is it just me or newYuuko seems like a hippie girl straight outta the 60s?

You forgot to make the changed one's glasses half-frames to make her freckles stand out even more.

Only thing that strikes me as a bit odd about the drawing is the placement of the original's hand, because the index finger's inside edge looks like the left side of her neck, which makes her neck seem really thin. Probably would've been better if it'd've been a bit higher, overlapping the jawbone; the thumb, after all, is more likely to be the resting place for her chin than her index finger is.

Other than that, as usual I know nothing about art but it looks nice.

Now that you mention it, yeah... which nearly doubled her HNNNNGGG factor for me just now.

Also, it kinda sorta looks like she's discreetly flipping oldYuuko the bird, which is awesome.

Except she's pointing it the wrong way. :? Glad to see Yuuko 2.0 is just as awkward.

I think the fact that she looks like a hippie is what mainly puts me off.

Never liked them hippies :(

I just thought of it, but... there's no way Japan would have had hippies, is there. How would those sorts of styles have made it over for Yuuko to pick up on? I don't think I've ever seen a single reference to hippie style in Japan. Not that I've looked, though.

Probably not in the 60s, but there are remnants of it. If there are hippies in Russia now, why not in Japan? ;)
But from what I understand, the current hippies aren't that much of a culture with an idea behind as it was once before but some sort of "fashion." So newYuuko may be into the hippie culture, but wether it is for fashion or for having some ideas like them is another topic for speculation; and that is supposing that we aren't just reading too much into the odd looking dress, cus it could well be that kamifish just pulled that design out of nowhere without thinking on what it may look like.

I don't mind the hippie look. Granted I'm going to miss old Yuuko it didn't really hit me like Emi did.

Great work, though! Look forward to more from ya.

This brings a whole new meaning to the term "autoeroticism."

It's not a stiffie; it's a TUMOR!! (Oh wait, that would be Misha not Yuuko. Never mind.)
