Fine art parody
I saw the parody of the Vitruvian Man on the Shimmie (can't find the number right now ) and decided that KS needs more fine art parodies.

Re: Fine art parody
Hanako looks lonely to me in the first image. The second one I found hard to understand.
And the third one... It's just... :<

Re: Fine art parody
A naked woman named Phryne was originally on this picture. She was a famous courtesan in ancient Athens and was accused of heresy and trialed on the rock named Aeropagus (rock of Ares).Esa94 wrote: The second one I found hard to understand.
Anyway, when the defending attorney took off her clothes he remarked that such a beautiful woman could never commit crimes against the gods when she was so blessed by them.
And, being pious men, the judges supposedly accepted this argument and acquitted her of all charges.
It's a classical compliment to beauty, I like it.
I know his must sound hypocritical, coming from me, but the third one might be controversial. Not only because of its source but also because of Shizune's role in it even if it is a parody.
Ahh, Morticia? I would die for her. I would kill for her. Either way, what bliss.
Re: Fine art parody
The last pic really describes the social dynamic i.e the interaction between Hanako and Shizune in KS.
You could also put Misha in the tank behind Shizune.
Good Job!

No, students at Yamaku weren't handicapped; everyone else was." - WetCrate
Re: Fine art parody
Lilly should be next to Hanako as well on the third one nice. Original. Tough controversial.

Fixed. I used a better version of the original picture this time. It's a little more light-hearted and less grimdark than the first version.Smoku wrote:Lilly should be next to Hanako as well on the third one

The original pictures are linked in the text above each picture.Esa94 wrote:The second one I found hard to understand.

Impressive shop work on the second one, man! Loved how you matched the texture of the classical oils. Plus, you covered up the parts you deleted very well. I can see where you sampled for the uncovered judge, but it's still impressive and I didn't catch it until I looked at it for about a minute.

I find this one both hilarious and appropriate, however, in the context of the image, the guy standing up in the back row is ticking me off.Panty Supervisor wrote: Areopagus.jpg

I don't see anyone 'guy' in the background.
Though i'm curious where you found those ks character pictures. (I've looked on the Shimmie and didn't find them)

They look like they're from the in-game extras menu. I think.

I believe the pictures of the five main heroines were taken from this picture:Snicket wrote: Though i'm curious where you found those ks character pictures. (I've looked on the Shimmie and didn't find them)

Unless the pictures in that picture were taken from somewhere else. The Misha one is from here, it seems:

Yep, you're right. And since there was no Chibi-Misha on the Wallpaper, I looked on the shimmie. I was lucky to find that picture because I don't think I could have drawn her myself. I really suck at drawing.

I'm refering to the old fart standing and going for the "OMG, TEH HORRUR" look.Snicket wrote:I don't see anyone 'guy' in the background.
Anyone who gives that reaction toward my Hana-chan gets a foot to the groin and their head on a pike. I like to kick it "olde-school"
(Not the real intention of the original picture, but to me, half of those men look like they're about to shield their eyes out of fear. Or they were a bunch of prudes.)
