This one isn't really cute under any meaning of the term anymore but I just had to get this image of Kenji out of my head.

Badass. I like this one better than the others; then again, I like Kenji better than the others.

The hand looks a bit skeletal, and the line of his forearm looks like it may go too far. But the expression is great - kind of reminds me of Ulquiorra.

Wouldn't you know, I actually referenced his face for the image. I couldn't come up with a good expression for Kenji, so I decided to hell with it and just copied Kubo.

And the blanket around the shoulders hints - it hints - at something that could potentially be even better. And which I selfishly submit to the TC as a sketch idea.

Caped Kenji.

I just might get around to doing that one of these days. In the meantime, however, I've been entertaining myself with the idea of drawing some pages for Goldilurks's excellent Katawa Haha project, but in the end I decided that that would take slightly more effort than I'm willing to put into gushing over this dumb game.

However, the notion of a fortysomething housewife Emi was simply too good for me to pass up on. Hence, sketches.

She's still cute even when she is old.
I would expect her to look more younger, since she is such a healthy person.

I suppose she did end up looking rather more like in her sixties, but the wrinkles are non-negotiable. This probably isn't an image you want to associate with the sketch, but I'm blaming the impression Kitahara's mom and her radically not-eternally-youthful appearance left on me.

But glad I could please, Goldilurks!

Old people, just add wrinkles.

By extension, for younger people, just remove wrinkles.

In my script, Emi's son is thirteen. Emi could be 34 or even younger. 'Shoop out the wrinkles from the sketch above and we've easily moved to a lower age range.
