Once again mate,

Thank you so much for everything you have done over the last decade here with Learning To Fly.

I would definitely pay for the whole series to be released in volumes of books. I know a few people who would be able to help you with that or signpost you in the right direction.

You keep hanging in there and as always, my Discord DM's are open for you to keep sending your brilliant creations.

Favourite Route= All the Routes were done well. Each had it's strengths and weak points. But none were bad, a brilliant achievement by the KS Team.

All the struggles and hardships you've had to endure over the past 11 years only reinforce my opinion of you as one of the most diligent, committed, and honestly inspiring people I know. I hope your recovery progresses well and that things can settle down for you. As for whatever you write in the future, be it Katawa content or otherwise, I look forward to reading it.
Here's to you, Euro.

Holy fuck you better still be active by the time I have $60 to throw at a physical edition of this.

I really like hearing about your creative process, so thanks for sharing that. Would love to read anything new you create! I should read your other linked fic too actually.

I have got to finish reading this story this weekend. I absolutely must.

What if life had a soundtrack similar to Katawa Shoujo's ?

So, my main computer crashed and I'm not sure what the problem is, although I'm fairly certain the power supply has gone bad. Unfortunately, it's going to take me a while before I can afford a new one so I'm stuck with my phone and a 10 year old laptop for the time being.

Fortunately, I was able to backup the majority of my files locally - including the files that I was editing to turn LtF into three physical volumes. They aren't lost; I just have no way to access them until I can get my main rig up and running again, or an HDD dock to pull them to where I can edit them on the laptop.

Hopefully it won't take too long, since the edited files are the ones I'm replacing the chapters here with; there are some inconsistencies and I'm enjoying changing a few things to make them flow better.

Euro, I wish you and the rest of the katawa-loving dorks on here a most happy new year! Through trials and tribulations you managed to put an end to a decade-old story that has touched our hearts like very few stories can. I believe I speak on the behalf of all lurkers and forum users here when I say I wish you the very best in life, in love, writing and in anything else you through yourself at. To a new, hopefully better, year. :D

The new year is actually going well so far! Money is tight as always, but I have a stable job now (it pays less, but I get to enjoy my hobbies with the schedule) and things are slowly starting to improve.

Turns out it was the processor that went bad on the computer, which I wish I would have known before I replaced the power supply and motherboard thinking it was those two things. I replaced it with a lower end version and it works for now, plus I already have half the parts to build a new HTPC for emulation and media.

I've been proofreading and editing chapters, trying to make it flow better now that I'm a far better writer than I was when I started. There are a lot of embarrassing errors and even more small ones that I see and try to correct, so I'll be able to give the story one final editing pass once everything gets sorted out.

But now on to the good news! I'm working with a service that does self-publishing, and I just ordered the first copy of the first book to check it for errors, margin placement, etc. It should get here at the beginning of February, and I'll make sure to post pictures of it. It also comes with the option to convert it into a PDF format suitable for e-readers and mobile devices, so I'm doing that as well once it gets finalized. I had no idea how much went into publishing a book, even self publishing. I thought the hard part was writing it!

It really does feel like I'm writing it all over again, but not in a bad way.

I retooled the artwork from the Act screens to be more book friendly, based on the way they look in the KS: Re-engineered remake/remaster.

Here's some screengrabs of the preview!

The books will be laid out like the route is, with BG's introduced where appropriate along with all the art I've either commissioned or been lucky enough to have people make for me. I'll probably include a few Koikatsu renders as well since I've gotten much, much better with the program.

Looking forward to seeing how the prototype book comes out, then if it goes well, it and the other two will eventually be for sale!

Thank you all for the well wishes and I hope all of you do great things this year!

Oh that looks sick!

Even if the author is silenced, the performance is stopped, the story will not end.

Whether it's a comedy or a tragedy, if there is cheering, the story will continue on.
Just like the many lives.
For the us who are still in it and still in the journey, send warm blessings.

---We will continue to walk down this path until eternity.

After spending the last few months checking the site to see if there was anything new, I can say with absolute certainty that I am happy to see this. Congratulations on your book and I hope you continue to have a good year.

PS: I hope that one day the book can be translated into Spanish since, as you can see, English is not my native language :?
