I knew there were several Visual Novels inspired by Katawa Shoujo, some more than others (and some more than they ought to be), but I didn't know there were this many. The only one of these that I've been following is Missing Stars, and while there are plenty of parallels and comparisons to be drawn with the inspiration for it being obvious, I think it's too early to give a verdict on whether or not they together with the others form their own sub-genre, especially seeing as how so many of them are still in development. I'm not familiar with the others, so I can't speak for them. Still, this was an interesting read. Also, I'm glad that they mentioned auricorange's essay. He posted it somewhere on here a while back under a different moniker. Seeing that made me realize I never finished it...
