Random lottery dividing up all folders amongst the characters? It takes away the aspect of picking your favorite tho. Split up the highest producers as leaders for the teams to avoid a chance concentration and run the numbers for a week? Not sure if we could find anyone willing to gather and crunch through the data.

Ahh, had a power outage of unknown duration during the night. So far it only looks to be time folding that got lost though.

I feel your pain. The apartment complex I live in used to be a school... about 70-80 years ago. The landlord, (and apparently all previous owners of this building as well) is too cheap to to replace ANY wiring that isn't already dead.

In the past few months, two tenants have brought me their computers for repairs. The problem for both was completely fried power supplies - they are literally charred on the inside!

So two PSU's (as well as two three-year warranties) later, I had to explain to the owners that this WILL happen again if they don't plug their computers into a surge protector or Uninterrupted-Power-Supply, because even when the power here is running, it is nowhere near clean enough to trust with sensitive equipment.

Malinor:
Average PPD - 0
Points Today - 0

=(

I said I was taking a break from gaming but it ended up being a LIE. A SHAMEFUL LIE.

*runs away crying*

I really should get back on this though.

Someone shoot Berserker. He's going to overtake me in a few months.

Heheheh, the only answer is to fold faster.

I got my second folding machine back up today. I should have some results from it by tomorrow afternoon. If i'm lucky, I'm hoping to see 5k PPD on a more regular basis than my occassional spikes.

So much for a team with 'bleeding edge GPUs, CPUs, and a truckload of PS3s.'

No longer a threat.

1 moderately good CPU, 1 8800gtx, 5 really OLD CPUs.

If they stopped gaming long enough to crank out some WU's they could be on our heels fast. Some of the PPD their team members can crank out in a day are enough to make me jealous. I'd take 12k PPD in a hearttbeat... Hnnnngg! :D

Well, they do hang out in seedy internet locales like the KS forums. Better check you got the same number of kidneys as you did before you posted. To be honest I think I would sell one of my teammates kidneys for 20k PPD.

Whats your blood type?

So to derail the e-peen discussion, has anyone been watching our team rank? It looks like we'll make top 1000 within a week.

Yeah, it'll be fun being in the top k. Unfortunately, we won't be rising very quickly into the hundreds unless we get another burst of folders. We'll still hit the 200s, but it'll be a few months. Good luck to everyone, and keep the inner-team competition going; it's great for the team, great for Stanford, great for research.

HELL YES 131 ACTIVE FOLDERS
Team CrippledChicks, let's do this.

Eh... "Team [whoever]" seems too cliche. How about "The Cripple Crew?" (been sitting on that one for a while, looking for an appropriate time to say it without it sounding like a bad joke or like I'm being insensitive or something)

Thinking about it... might we consider teaming up with some other sites, like Fakku or something, just for bragging rights? I mean, I have 2 systems going myself (my playstation and my computer), and evidently there's a third system out there somewhere that's been recording to me. Just imagine if we can get a porn community going with this. Looking at the fakku forums alone, at the bottom reads:

"We have 158,765 registered users and they have made a total of 542,918 posts on the forums."

Even if only 5% of them decide to fold, that's still 8,000 new systems brought in.

Forget I mentioned it; it's kind of a slippery subject.

It's a good thing Shizune is deaf, she is the only one who can stand (not) hearing "Wahaha~!" over and over.
